Honestly, Im 34 weeks pregnant and just don't need it! I've got one freak following me around down-thumbing me on EVERY answer i give for no reason over the last few months, and another saying I am an a*sshole and she hopes my baby is a two horned monster when i give birth, all because i asked for clarification on a question she asked!!! i don't see why i should stop coming on here, its been a source of great help from the beginning of my pregnancy, but i'm so fed up with these people!

People are B*tches because they know that they can say anything they want to over the internet and there is nothing you can do about it. Whereas if you were to ask some of the same questions to these peoples faces the answer would be totally different and they know it. These are the same people that get pushed around in their everyday lives and then go home and sit in front of their computers and take their anger out on others.
Cowards I believe is the correct term for them.
It all stems from their own unhappiness. But don't let it get you down though :)

I know what you mean. This is suppose to be source of help and people are rude and jump to conclusions all the time. You are suppose to give your opinion but it seems everything I post there is always one rude person or one demented person that has to make stupid comments. I wish they would keep their mean comments to theirselves. I don't give rude suggestions, but like some of the other people who commented I am a little more mature and smarter than most those rude and ignorant people. Hang in there. I have been through three pregnancies and two births. And I know I loved getting advise from others.

I think that, in general, it's easier to be nasty to people who you know you'll never see face to face and have a confrontation with.
I've only been ugly to a few people on here whom I was 99.9% sure were trolling with shock-factor questions. I usually reported them as well. But in general, being on the internet I find it a lot easier to say what I'm thinking, perhaps without putting quite as much thought into how it's coming across to the person who's reading it on the other side. IRL I find it difficult to speak my mind as openly.
Somebody who has the type of personality to always say what they think IRL may just find it easier to take that one step further and say things that they normally wouldn't say to someone's face even if they *were* thinking it. Does that make any sense? I think anonymity is a big factor though.
Besides, if someone has so much free time on their hands that they go around stalking you on Y/A just to give you thumbs-downs, well, that's just sad. A person like that deserves our pity as well as our censure.

Just ignore them. There are all sorts of people on this site like that. I just let it roll right off my shoulder because I don't know them and they don't know me, so who cares. Isn't it nice to know that these people that follow you around think you are so great and special that they can take time from their daily lives to think about you. You have your own fan club be it good or bad. I would just laugh about it and don't sweat it, not everyone here is like that, just a few :) Congrats on the baby, you are so lucky that you are almost done!!!!

Anytime you ask people for their opinions, you have to expect that they are going to give them to you good or bad. This is a public forum and everyone here has the ability to hide behind the computer, so often you will get opinions people would never say directly to your face. And then you get people who just want to mess with you. You are going to have to take it in stride and deal with it, or just don't pour your heart out here and hope everyone agrees with you 100% of the time. It doesn't mean I think its right, but it is what it is.

OMG, sorry that happened to you...but remember there are probably thousands od lazy, fat pregnant women sitting around with nothing to do but be b*tches to people on here because of their hormones and THEIR problems.
I asked for a recipe for low carb muffins and some woman told me she had a recipe for low-carb blueberry muffins: fill a muffin cup with blueberries.
I have gestational diabetes, I was trying to find ways I could still enjoy small things I used to like! What a horrible person!

Sorry people are so nasty. I do realize that for every three respectful answer you see there is one stinky one. Try to concentrate on the answers of people who really seem to be honest and thougtful as opposed to the rotten people. I don't know why there are people out there wasting their time and energy insulting and attempting to degrade others on yahoo answers. Some people just have small, negative worlds, don't get sucked in.

Lots of people have valuable info to give. No it's not a source for definite answers, but it helps ease minds. So just keep truckin along as you are doing and ignore them. They obviously have nothing better to do with their lives than to sit and bother others. Congrats on your pregnancy!!

The best thing to do is to ignore them. Some people can't help but put others down. It's a boost for their low self esteem.

I have come to realize no matter where you go, if there are pregnant women involved the moods are swinging, and drama is ALWAYS started. Its not just here. I was on livejournal during my pregnancy and oh boy let me tell you, some of the things you will get flamed for! Just try to over look it, if they are that immature they aren't anything to worry over. Just enjoy your pregnancy! You got something wonderful to look forward to!
