Royce Clayton is also batting a .364 so far this season but is batting .455 against Mike Maroth in the past 5 years. Maroth's opponents average this season is a .316

Edgar Renteria. The fact Royce Clayton is hiiting well this early is a surprise, but I wouldn't put any money on Clayton keeping this up. The season is still young.

Anything can happen in baseball. If you are playing the percentages Clayton has the better history. But I would take Renteria. I think he's a better hitter and he also hits towards the top of the lineup where Clayton hits to the bottom. Renteria should average almost an extra at bat a game then Clayon.

Take it from a Jays fan -- I'm enjoying it, but Clayton is batting over his head right now -- Renteria is the better hitter

I'd say Edgar, although the two of them are batting the same average (unconfirmed) i really feel that edgar is a better batter.
