Happy--Fed me, I hate cooking now & I'm 41, w/ 3 kids! But, they spoiled me when we lived next door for about 14 yrs. Whatever we were hungry for if I'd say it my Italian parents would cook it! You come to rely on that. Now I know the prep & clean up they did. I cooked too but, was a single parent then, so it was ok w/ them for 2 more to eat. Eventually turned into 3 more when I got remarried & had 2 more kids, before finally moving! The saddest is the time they didn't spend w/ us, they were to tired from all that homemade food, hah hah, and working too! So, they sacrificed but should've spent more quality time, that's so important! If you want to read an easy book, that's sooo--- true on all peoples' needs read: The Five Languages of Love, by Gary Chapman. when I had problems w/ 1 of my boys @ age 5, my doc told me about this book! I feel it will help instantly. In it he has 5 simple character traits we all could have. Some are Quality time, Gifts, Acts of Love, Touch-- some people need hugs etc, I forget the others, but it helped me w/ sons' needs after almost a month of confusion! The librarys have or can get it for you. Hope this helps!

Dear George,
Congretes, you are fortunate enough to have the answer, other wise the life will give you the answer after 20-25 years, when you will be a parent of KID like you. Whenever, they fullfil your desires, it make you happy & when they care for your health and carrier by putting some restrictions, it make you sad.

They rarely make me sad, my parents are the best. I couldn't ask for better ones. They've always been there to help me thru my hard times and they help out alot w/my children. I'm a single mom and without my parents I honestly don't know how I would survive.

Happy: Raised me and gave me a sense of stability.
Sad: That I'm not happy with the person I turned out to be... But maybe that isn't her fault. Probably.

My mom and stepfather spoiled me rotten. They bought me everything I wanted (within some reason). Mom never made me sad. She was my biggest cheerleader. I consider her one of my best friends today. Stepdad died aboiut 20 years ago. Let's just say I don't miss him.

They made me the happiest when they finally told me how proud they were of my on my college graduation day.
And the saddest was the day they told me that they would never accept my boyfriend at the time, as much as they do my brothers girlfriend.

They were so creative playing with us. We were not wealthy so we played games, that you couldn't buy in any toy store.
The sad part was, they worked very hard and couldn't be home as much as we wanted but, they are still around and I love them dearly!!
