Depends on what it is. My university degrees took a long time, but I don't regret a minute of the social life I had to sacrifice for it. I tried to reach a balance of school and work during the week, social life on Friday and/or Saturday nights.

Of course appreciate it because we work really hard towards something we want but we should also learn not to get disappointed for some reason if we dont get it and opt for a second option but always dreaming high.

Yip, that happened to me with a job that I had tried to get for ages. The reason that I ended up not wanting it was because of my bosses though, and not because I waited too long. THe job was good, but the bad outweighed the good...

Yes, many times. I longed to take my A Levels during young. But now when I am allowed to, it becomes meaningless.

Likewise I had always wanted to see the Swiss Alps during young. But now, what is it?

We all move on.

The problem is you've been thinking about it for so long, and building it up in your mind as to how great it's going to be; nothing could live up to your expectations.

This is why I never wait, I give into temptation immediately!

It all depends on what it is. If it's emotional I end up cherishing it. If it a material thing then yea I just really don't want it.

It depends if its precious or more expensive....if not so much then I feel like it was not such a big deal and I could have lived with out it.
