I am interested to know if there is much difference between the Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 1.8Ghz and the Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 2.13Ghz? Am I going to notice a big difference when playing games, surfing net, video editing etc, etc? I just don't know which one I should purchase as all this is really new to me? Your input would be appreciated. Thanks :o)

If you are using a good videocard, you would hardly notice the difference in games. No difference when surfing the net. E6400 would have the edge in video editing and other processor intensive apps.

If I were you, I will just get the E6300 and just overclock it to E6400 speed or better. That's what PC enthusiasts usually do.

The intel core 2 duo e6400 of 2.13 Ghz is way better than the e6300 of 1.8 Ghz

The only difference between the 2 is a bump in speed on the E6400, everything else about them is identical. You wouldn't notice a big difference speed wise from normal use but since their prices are pretty close to each other, might as well go with the faster one.

They are both good processors, if you can afford the 6400 to get the extra performance go for it otherwise the 6300 is fairly close in performance when tested.....
