I know his show was pulled from TV, but what about his radio show? Rush got canned from ESPN for far, far less. Please, save your slams and just answer the question for once.

I did not say conservatives were going after him. Also, the guy says one dumb thing in 40 some years and he is in jeopardy of losing his job??? Turn on the view and see who Rosie offends today.....Asians, men, etc....

His statements were NOT liberal. I never said that. What Rush said was NOT racist. People are too touchy. The more we point out race, the worse off we are.

He would have been long gone. History proves that. Look at people like Sharpton and Jackson. They have said things far worse and more inflammatory, yet they are still around. Trent Lott made one comment and was finished for it. Rush is another good example. Where was the uproar when Howard Dean made comments about black people and maids? There is a double standard when it comes to this. I personally don't like Imus, but this PC crap is going too far. It takes away from freedom of speech and is nothing more than censorship. Funny how the liberals call the conservatives fascists when this PC behavior, which emanates from the left, is fascism. The bottom line is this, if you don't like what he says, don't listen and then you will not risk being offended.

It won't backfire because of the fact the media is 80% liberal, so after some weeks while they don't might desire to hide it, they gained't. Can all of us in this board truthfully say his feedback are worse than liberal Rosie who reported 9/11 replaced into an interior interest and the British hostages set themselves as much as be abducted. This replaced into incredibly even observed interior the media and now it is not. She could have been fired because is a techniques worse than what Imus reported.

There was a Washington Post editorial bit from an NAACP person defending Imus' right to first amendment free speech. I feel pretty sure that if a conservative had used a slur (and there is NO WAY a conservative would use a slur like that one) there would be no such support for those "first amendment" rights. Why? because only pornographers and sleazy shock jocks get defended in their "free speech" rights, and the powers that be are waiting for the chance to silence conservative voices.

That being said, the punishing of free speech scares me a lot, even when it happens to a loser like Imus.

Let's clear up something here . Imus is a liberal. . Period .
Imus supports Jon Carry . And no Conservative has ever done such a crazy thing .

Apparently protesters are outside CBS calling for his head on his radio show too .

And he probably would have been hounded even more if he were a Conservative .

I earn over six figures. To which address do you want those food stamps and free cheese certificates sent to? Rush is a bigger fool than Imus. He has been married and divorced three times. All three wives claimed that a small phallus and low sex drive contributed to the divorce. Big voice, small dick. A common problem among conservative males.

I don't remember what Rush was fired for, so I can't say whether it was "far, far less" or not - and that would really be a subjective matter anyway.

However... regardless of Imus's political leanings, what he said was stupid, tasteless, thoughtless... but not illegal. It is his job to be shocking, to get attention, and I'd say he did his job really well. Just like Rush does his job really, really well.

His comments can hardly be categorized as liberal.....so I am not sure I see your point.

He is in trouble because he made racist remarks.....That is a bad thing. When public people make racist remarks they should be called out on it.......He did and he is being called out.....It is totally appropriate.

Limbaugh's comments on ESPN were racist too.....and he should have been dismissed........He knew exactly what he was doing.....He didnt really want that job....and just wanted a publicity stunt........He make silly comments just to get fired and get indignant white folks all stirred up.......Clearly, years later, it is still working...

It would have happened a LOT SOONER. In fact, most conservative pundit's are surprised the main stream media turned on one of their own.

That's kind of an odd question because the people going after him do not claim to be on the conservative ticket.
