I use a shop vac that you purchase in the tool department at a store like Sears. They make small ones that have a lot of suction. You can get a lot of hose so you can just set in down and move around the room. I never thought I would use a shop vac in my house but after using it I am hooked.

I can tell you that I own a Panasonic upright, which is great for cleaning up pet fur, it is very light and easy to maneuver around the house, it was the least expensive and I have had no problems with it, as a matter of fact I even plan on getting another one of this brand this time the bagless vacuum, you can't go wrong with a Panasonic and you might know they are known for great products that cost less. Good Luck !

The most popular pet hair vacuum cleaners are Dysons but since you requested an affordable vacuum these are probably not for you. (with prices from $400 to $600).

Actually, there is one vacuum, that is one of the best selling vacuums on Amazon.com, has very high ratings (from consumers) and is very good for pet hair.

It's Eureka 4870GZ. (still within your price range $149.99)

Check the Amazon reviews (I've given you a link) and a website that does vacuum cleaner reviews.

I bought an Oreck XL online and have been very pleased with it.
It's very easy to open up in case you suck up something that clogs the hose, and came with a free steam iron, and portable mini vacuum that had all the usual attachments.
I have a black lab, and it picks up her hair, don't know about fur though.
The portable has extremely good suction too, picks up pebbles and such from car floor mats.

I even have 3 canines and four cats, so puppy hair is an argument right here. i latterly offered a Bissell healthful homestead vacuum and am particularly happy with it. oftentimes priced at around $250, I controlled to locate a sale and have been given it for $2 hundred. and additionally you will possibly attempt this thought. Husky hair has a hollow shaft = air interior the shaft equals extra insulation. That style of hair is truthfully perplexing to upward push up. Take a sprig bottle and positioned a pair of tablespoon or 2 of liquid fabric softener in it and fill something with water. provide it a sturdy shake. Then gently mist the areas with the worst concentration of canine hair and wait approximately 10-quarter-hour and then sweep. the textile softener facilitates smash the static lock of the hair. I also have a lab and their hair is an identical way as they choose the extra insulation while they're "searching" and retrieving in water. yet another thought, in case you have a protracted hose on your sweeper, attempt grooming the canines with it. I actually are growing to be to be my lab and my german shepard mixture used to being brushed with the sweeper. The hair and puppy dander is going ideal interior the sweeper as a replace of on your flooring and furnishings. And what ever sweeper you opt for on, shop the luggage replaced (not extra that a million/2 finished), shop the filters sparkling (verify your vendors handbook for info and sweep on a daily basis or each and every couple of days.

We have a Kenmore and LOVE it! You can get them in all price ranges (ours is top end). We know 4 people who have them. 1 person has 4 cats and you would never know it, we have a black sheding dog and the others have cats and dogs and the only way you can tell is if they don't vacuum.
