Because of the storyline. Every time I have seen Lassie Come Home since I was a little girl I cry when I see the little boy look out the school window to see Lassie sitting under the tree all bloody and beat up waiting for him to get out of school. More recently... The movie Pay It Forward... I believe in the whole pay it forward theory, and the closing scene, where all the people are standing there with their candles.... I cry then too.

Yea sometimes but when I'm with people I tend not to unless they're family. But of course, mum cries enough for everyone. Once she cried during Australian story (during the happy bit) and she was like, "Give me a break! It IS Autralian Story!" :P

Yes, I cry during dramatic scenes in a movie.
Emotion provoking movies tend to be my favorites.

The only time I cried during a movie was during The Notebook.
About 3 times through, small tears though.First when her parents were telling her she couldn't see him and she was was yelling at him as he drove off, when he sent letters and she never received them and at the end when they die.

Usually the storyline is what does it to me - sometimes the music helps to push me over the edge!
