Mine was his last work. Man without a Country.
I've read the rest of his work and loved it but, I felt this we really got a true sense of who Kurt Vonnegut was a an individual.
Damn was he smart and funny !!!!!!

I'm sorry to say the only work by Vonnegut I've read is Harrison Bergeron, which I thought was absolutely great. I read it back in high school, and it got me on a great trend of reading things like Orwell's Animal Farm and other dystopian stories.

I'd have to say "The Sirens of Titan." I had trouble with the beginning of the book, but I really liked it by the end. I also liked the fictional "Venus on a Half-Shell," written by Kilgore Trout (really Phillip Jose Farmer with a fake beard and mustache). That wasn't written, but inspired, by Vonnegut. I did like "Timequake," his last novel, as well.

The only book by Kurt Vonnegut I ever read: 'Slaughterhouse-Five.'

Breakfast of Champions, but Slaughterhouse Five and The Sirens of Titan are pretty close.
