I agree with the ladies.

Miracle-gro is just one fertilizer, that gets alot of press. Because it is a 'general purpose' fertilizer, it may not be the best fertilizer for the task. (In this case, it probably is) Take a couple minutes next time you're in your local independent garden center and really browse the fertilizer selection. You might find a better fertilizer for whatever plants you need to take care of.

What ever you do, do not over water your ficus. If you do the leaves will drop and is probably why you are looking to fertilize in the first place. You are not the only one, people do it all the time.

You bet. MiracleGro is good for any and all plants. You can make a mild solution (small end of scoop/gallon water) for use everytime you water.
