There are several brands of vellum tape, but I've never been brave enough to try them, but people say they work.
I usually just use brads, or I've hand sewn them on with just a few stitches in the corners. You can also disguise the glue with extra embellishments over the top.

If your using white glue it shows, use a glue stitck it will hold it down and not show through the paper. any brand of glue stick will work. I scrapbook and I have never had glue show through with a glue stick.

What I was thinking is that you should use a punch and make a 2 sided sticker out of it with one of those machines and then you could place the punched piece somewhere in decorative spot between the vellum and the other paper and it could serve 2 purposes...decoration and adhesive.

Run it through a Xyron machine. Use the the insert roll that attaches archival glue to the back of the page.

scotch or other brand vellum adhesive (I found scotch the best) it comes in a roll like tape
vellum glue dots
the also make glue for vellum but havent tried it yet

special two sided vellum tape. go to the scrap book shop and ask.

I'd punch holes and use ribbon.
