Yes it does show the absurdity of their ignorance because of what they ignore. That is probably the best example that even a child can understand.
Basically, if God is Fair (let's suppose for clarity that God IS Fair) then the child should be given just as much opportunity to make it to heaven as everyone else, and the child shouldn't be given a free pass if not given that opportunity through life(ie.the child dies).
The only logical solution with fairness in mind is that the child be given the opportunity for another life.
I never did understand why Christians were so against such a notion, because it makes sense that if a person is really a spirit, in a physical body then it should be natural to be able to have another body later.
There's also a lot of references to people "coming back to life" in the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) prophecies. That is where the notion for the "resurrection " comes from. The BIG problem with that is the emotional strain on the poor people who have to "all of the sudden" "return to life."
Can you imagine a cave man and virtually billions of more "previously dead" people magically appearing? They would have to, to fulfill the prophecies as Christians preach them. It's easy to understand if you simply consider everyone's life cycle as continuously renewing.
Actually, just up to a point, which is what the prophecy is about. There might come a time when we no longer can come back into the physical. At best, when that time gets here, the duration between lives will become longer because of the lack of physical bodies that are ready. Think about it, there is a number of spirits who are presently around the Earth. Most probably want human bodies. The more human bodies the earth can hold, the happier the spirits, because more get to enjoy physical life, and they don't have to wait so long between lives. The less human bodies we have, the longer they (we, when we're dead) have to wait.
According to the prophecy of the Hebrew Bible, about 2/3 of our population is going to the "other side" when that day arrives.
It's called the "Day of the LORD," and is clearly not the "End of the World," because 1/3 of the population does get to stay here, if the Messiah is successfull.
There's more info regarding such, below.
Regards,
Chris

Dude that's funny. I mean the whole fundamentalist thing.
OK her go, 1. God is the one true judge it is ultimately up to him who goes and doesn't and as God is good we have some releif there and can trust him in the uncertain cases.
2nd. Define child: there's a large diff between a 6 month old in the womb and a three year old pulling the dog's tail.
3. A child, any human child is NOT born ignorant of right and wrong but rather has an instinctive way of doing (here's the catch) WRONG! the moment he's physically able to do so.
If you cant figure that out you don't have children.
Personally my children are baptised in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit therefore iI rely soley on Jesus to save them.
Good Luck and God Bless
Keep seeking truth, eventually you'll find it.

Not really. I believe if the child dies before they are old enough to understand, there is an "age of accountability" doctrine which allows them to escape being sent to hell, much like the idea that you turn into an adult when you are 18, and are held legally responsible for your actions. Killing a child in order to get them to heaven, on the other hand, would require the murderer to break the sixth commandment, endangering his own fate in the hereafter.

I doubt any will agree with me but here goes. The age of accountability is no where in the Bible. Many times God told Israel to kill the children of their enemies and were punished if they didn't. The only way to Heaven is through Christ. But just as during the passover; all it took was one parent to kill a lamb and apply the blood at the door for the whole house to be saves, so I believe that a believer sanctifies His or Her spouse as well as the children still living at home. Any one else who has not been born again will go to hell. Go ahead and say it is unfair, who is the creature to say that the Creator is unfair.

The child will go to Heaven. Children who are not yet old enough to be affected by the world have the purest of souls. They will still have to go through the Judgement because no one is exempt from that, but God will let them enter Heaven with no problems because they are just children who have never sinned. God loves children and even says that we all should make ourselves to be like children. But I wouldn't let something like this prevent you from having children. You can't control if they're going to die before they have the chance to learn right from wrong or where they will go when they die. Only God can control those things and I don't think He would want you to worry about something like this.

The “age of accountability” is a concept that teaches those who die before reaching the “age of accountability” are automatically saved, by God’s grace and mercy. The “age of accountability” is a belief that God saves all those who die before reaching the ability to make a decision for or against Christ. Thirteen is the most common number given for the age of accountability based on the Jewish custom that a child becomes an adult at the age of 13. However, the Bible gives no direct support to the age of 13 always being the age of accountability. It likely varies from child to child. A child has passed the age of accountability once he or she is capable of making a faith decision for or against Christ.

They go straight to Heaven - even the Pope has done away with limbo, the place where unbaptised infants go.
The real implications seem to have been lost on catholics - if limbo has been done away, then children going straight to Heaven means that they're not subject to the original sin of Adam; in which case nobody actually is or ever was!

Well they will surely go to heaven since God is fair and loves us and Jesus said in the bible that all children all his belovings
I dont remember the verse but he said to the disciples when they repuked children from getting to him ,he said let them come to me.
As for the other part,u said that in this case God should take our lives when kids to save us.
Well He did better than this ,he gave us the chance for salvation when we are old too, through Jesus christ so u can never say that he is not fair but in the opposite he saved us while we did not deserve it at all.
So u dont have to worry about hell,u just need to worry about knowing God and have a relationship with him.
And if god killed all children then no humanity would exist and it will be like not fair.because god will not force us to be with him but it is our choice to decide wether to follow him or not

I believe that they would be in Heaven. We are supposedly born innocent, are we not? They probably aren't judged the way people are when they have been able to live their lives to the fullest. I don't know about the absurdity of the after-life. It is just another question that no one really can answer and those who can, are dead. We will find these questions out one day that no one can answer right now.
