I made about $2999 and some change...$231.3 was taken out of my checks in taxes total...will i have to pay taxes or should i get a refund???

If your income was all on a W-2, then you should get all the federal income tax withholding refunded to you if any was withheld. If some of your income was on a 1099, then you'd probably owe some taxes.

That amount of withholding is just about right for your SS and Medicare tax. It looks as if only a dollar or two would have been for Federal Income Tax. In that case, you'll have to decide if it's worthwhile going through the hassle of filing for $1 or $2 at most.
