There are also many Americans that are also Muslim. But I think the general public is afraid because they know absolutely nothing about the culture. I am not afraid (well... of terrorists yes, but I realize that Muslims are not terrorists.) See... I grew up in Saudi Arabia (not Arab or Muslim in the slightest). I grew up knowing about the culture, which is why I think I am probably more open to new cultures and people from all over the world than many Americans because I am already familiar with the differences. They don't like to admit it, but Americans love to stereotype. Just keep an open mind.

This might help. I encourage all of you to download versions of these books (pre-911) from a reputable site and read the quotes in context. Educate yourselves. Our poster is a bit silly, but the attitude is not uncommon in Islam.

It is disturbing to watch American citizens who know NOTHING about Islam defend it with silly arguments. My family escaped Islam in the 1950's, and I've read the holy books.

People blame the whole 9/11 thing on Muslims even though they were extremists. A lot of people in America are just ignorant and don't understand that not all Muslims are that way.
