Which one do you mean, emotions or feelings?... Feelings is a broad term that includes both sensations and emotions, but in such a way that it usually means the physical sensations associated with these emotions. If you are "feeling" sad, there is a certain detectable sensation going through you that you'd call sad, it also effects the way you think, but your thinking isn't the feeling itself. Likewise, there is a sensation when you're feeling hungry, a certain sensation when you're feeling tired, and a certain sensation when you're feeling angry, these are all of the body.
Now, when we specify emotions, rather than feelings, we go into everything involving emotions, which are chemical interactions in the brain and elsewhere, which have no choice but to effect the mind (chemical reactions in the brain tend to effect other activities in the brain rather easily), but this change in thought process seems to be completely based upon the physical body... Granted that this change in the physical body is usually triggered by the mind of course, consciously or unconsciously...
So emotions would involve both the body and the mind, while feelings would involve just the body... As for the soul, I tend to think of that as a mostly unchanging kernel of the underlying person, so see no reason they'd effect my concept of it, and I feel no need to simulate anyone else's.

Well I think the inner heart can explain much. I was thinking, it is a lot like the ability to give and receive. To see it from another's perspective. Another thing is not telling others what to do or what is right and wrong. I've been thinking about the human drama and religious and other mythologies. Everyone has their own truths. I don't believe in eternal punishment. Their is no one to blame if the work isn't met. There is an agreeable world here, Forgiveness is key. Everyone learns their own lessons. It does feel really great to give and ask for ways to be a blessing to others. Just have to take the small steps to the pursuit of happiness. Their is always something cool to learn or a place to explore. This is just an opinion, Everyone has their own truth. Life is what you make it. Life has a balance of its ups and downs, but it is a great adventure. Edit: Although everyone is unique, I don't promote anyone going towards any destructive path.

Emotions and feelings are the ' voice ' of our soul. An ' ill ' / sad soul can bring about an ill body. Yet, it all begins in the soul.
The body...energy that has collected together to form these magnificent ' shells ' that allow our souls to experience physical touch...humaness.
The mind. . . I take that to be the brain...the brain, as the body is as noted in above paragraph. The brain formulates mind of thought.
Soul . . . Very real ' energy '...yet not collected together as with the body to take any ' form ' or shape. . . yet, it's still a very real ' energy ' .
Emotions and feelings . . . the ' voice ' of the soul.
Of course...I don't know for sure...yet that is what comes to my mind to express here.
And...where did this thought come from . . . ?

They are part of our body and our mind, because they are phenomena associated with the atoms and molecules and chemistry and electrical activity in the brain. There is really no plausible doubt that these things are properties of the physical brain - We can alter them very simply with alcohol or other drugs, and observe how they change in people who have suffered significant brain damage. Previously placid people become uncontrollably violent, intelligent people become imbeciles, and so on. Stimulate the brain artificially, and the subject reports corresponding mental activity, e.g. 'religious experiences'. We can see from brain research that things like thought, emotion, sensation, character traits and so on are correlated with activity in the brain, and some things can be identified with specific areas of the brain.
So, if all these faculties and characteristics of what we regard as the 'person' reside in the physical brain, as seems to be undeniably the case, and they all cease when the person dies, then what is left to be attributed to a 'soul'? As far as I can ascertain: Nothing. If there is no part of us that can continue after death, then there is no 'afterlife'... and if there is no afterlife, then most of religion is null and void.

Emotions are a function of the brain - they are part of our ancient self defence system. They are part of Fight/Flight reaction. When a person feels threatened in any way, an emotion to defence is triggered, thus changing the 31 elements needed to run away or put up a fight.
To attribute emotions to some sort of supernatural cause is to miss the point of them and to sabotage the control and development of them.

Our beliefs, emotions/feelings, and expectations, form our bodies, and all physical "life". This is the basis. We make our own reality, individually, and as a whole.
Change the way you see the world, and the world you see will change.

Although our true self is contained within the soul. Our emotions and feelings require both inward and outward stimuli. So it requires all three; mind, body, and soul.

I would say that it's all three. that's one of those things that make me think about God's nature. You know, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit?
We can recognize different parts of ourselves, and no one with a sane mind thinks there's more than one person that makes us up, but the different parts are all there, and yet they are all us.
I probably didn't word that very well, but I think about it anyway.
