Almost every religion begins that way. Isn't it obvious that men are the ones who wrote the books?

Well, let's go back even further to why he created women the way they are. In the begenning he made someone in his own image...with a thingy hanging down there. Man was happy drinking beer and watching the ball game on T.V., but god was bored from the lack of drama in the life of his creation. He visited man and this is what transpired:
G: "Wow! You look bored. Can I get you anything?"
M: "Nah, I'm good but I'm running low on brews."
G: "Ok, I'll get you some more. I was thinking of giving you a gift."
M: "Really? That's cool! What you got in mind Big-G?"
G: "How about a woman?"
M: "What the heck is that?"
G: "It's someone like you, but who's physically 'different' in ways you'll like. She's gorgeous, well-behaved, intelligent, wants to work hard for you. Are you interested?"
M: "Heck, yeah, sign me up!"
G: "Ok, but it'll cost you?"
M: "How Much?"
G: "An arm and a leg."
M: "Well...what can I get for a rib?"
And there you have it. Man came before woman because he know man would make the more logical choices, but Adam screwed us all, Brother!

If he had created women first, then you would ask now 'why God created women before men?'

Man needed companionship, and woman was created as man's perfect partner. That is why no man can truly be happy apart from a woman, and no woman truly happy apart from a man. Women are not inferior, they just play different roles. Men wouldn't be whole without women, that is why God took a rib, to remind man that they need her, and she needs him. The pieces of the puzzle fit together, the woman is the man's missing piece.

After creating Adam, God being all knowing, knew that Adam, being human would be lonely, there for creating Eve to be Adams companion.
Adam and Eve didn't become sexual beings until after they ate the forbidden fruit. Because it wasnt until then that they were aware of their shame ( privates) thats why they ran to cover them selves with leaves. Their purity had been tainted by the corruption of Satan.
A little more than what you wanted to know.. Sorry.. :)

Right. Created all the animals in twos, but when it came to humans it slipped his mind. And he'd run out of juice by then, because after creating the whole universe from nothing, he needed spare parts from Adam to make Eve. And then Eve turns around and gets them thrown out of the garden with her naked ambition. It's obvious there was a little bit of taking God's name in vain going on, with the author of this bit of the bible.

eve was created from one of Adam's ribs, its just the way they used to project the idea that men are superior to women in those times, when in actuality we're both equal.
