Originally Christianity was a cult, as they were called The Way, and followed it's leaders teaching's..
Of course, we now know ( and those who aren't scared to admit it.. Osan..) that the teaching were the truth, and that the teachings were indeed the right way to live out life during our short time on earth..
As for the modern day definition of 'cult'.. if it is based on anything other than the truth about life, God and our fellowship with him, its a bad cult.

there is no such thing as a bad cult to start with, besides charles mason cult and chritianity but thats all behind

I'm sure you'll get many responses back from christians. But all christians do is judge and tell you to join their religion...OR ELSE THE FIRES OF HELL WILL CONSUME THEE. The problem is that their religion is also a cult. In short, there are good cults but not christianity.

If by "cult" you mean "a religion or sect considered to be false, unorthodox, or extremist, with members often living outside of conventional society under the direction of a charismatic leader." Then I would have to say no, but who am I to judge?

a cult is any religion deemed to small to be recognized.
Of course there are good cults, and bad, and in between.
All religions were cults at one time!

Not all cults are destructive. For every Jonestown or Heaven's Gate, there are many New Religious Movements (a.k.a. "cults") that operate legally and peacefully.

That depends on your definition of "cult"
Technically the LDS faith is a "cult" (( it isn't btw )) by some standards and they strive for good works as does any christian belief.
