It's like this; If you want to know God, He wants you. If you dont want to come to God, He's not interested in you.

I want to ask you a question: If u do not believe in God, then answer these questions:

Who created you and who gives death?????

Who created the Earth, the Sky, the Sun, the Planets, the Galaxies, the Stars, the Universe and there are contless things, inshort every single small an dbig thing u see around you????????

Who made Life on Earth???Imean, who made animals, plants, insects, mountains, rivers, lakes and again every single thing u see around you????

It is the biggest foolisheness to deny God simply because, we don't see Him. There are many othe rthings that we don't see, but we believe simply because we r told about it. For example, we believe air, atoms, electrons, bonds between chemical compounds, vitamins, minerals in the body, sugar in the blood and so on. If I ask u and all the people like you or any doctor to remove just 1 gram/ Pound of sugar from the blood, will any on ebe able to do??????????Then how can I believe that there is sugar in the blood???????????

For the Supreme Lord, it is a very dirty example to give. He is above all without comparison. The ONE who created you and me.

After all those responses, just a critique. I like aj's answer best. Belief in something false is likely to be psychologically healthy -- just look at all the happy Mormons.

Pascal's wager is more bogus now than when he placed it. In 17th century France, Calvinism having been banished, and Judaism officially wicked, the only choices were Catholicism or nothing. Today, you have a thousand choices. Pick the wrong one and end up in hell for eternity. Heck, Las Vegas gives you better odds than that.

Believing in God doesn't amount to anything, the same as not believing in God. The only thing that changes anything is serving God. If serving yourself has not led to a life of contentment, even in the midst of difficulties, has not brought joy to your life, than you should trying serving God.

I don't believe that anyone else can give you a reason. You have to give yourself one.

But if I had to try, I would say, "Because things make more sense when you do. Otherwise, there is no reason for anything."

Maybe you would like to not have a reason for you life. It is your choice really.

I honestly can't think of one. I can think of reasons why you might *claim* to believe in god (e.g. for the purposes of self-preservation in society where non-belief attracts severe punishment) but there is no objectively valid reason to believe that any gods exist.

The only reason there is to believe in any God is: Because you want to.

you can't be scared or tormented into doing something if you don't already believe.

The most basic proof of God’s existence is simply what He has made. “For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that [unbelievers] are without excuse” (Romans 1:20). “The heavens declare the glory of God / And the firmament sheweth His handiwork” (Psalm 19:1).

The single most effective witness for God's being alive and well is the lives that The Holy Bible changes, it takes a life like the one that is typing at you now and changes it so instead of going to Hell it is praising God that ones life is going in The Way that The Lord does lead, praise God for His Grace, find out more free on line bible lessons www.amazingfacts.org OR www.itiswritten.com talk to me via EMAIL, wgr88@yahoo.com
