Yes, go with the make-up cover up. This site has several skin tones to choose from and the kit is only $14! My boyfriend has the same problem.

I love all my tattoos. However, work does not. I have to wear a thick-banded watch on my right arm just a little higher than where a normal watch would sit, because work disagrees with me on tattoos. Not all jobs are like that, but many places are. I think that's what people are getting at when they say to get them someplace that can be covered up. When I'm not at work, I don't cover my tattoos. I think tattoos can make a person more beautiful, even if it's only because it's something that has meaning to that person, and gives them confidence. Tattoos and piercings would never effect what I think about people. When I look at old pictures of myself, where I'm missing a tattoo or piercing, I think I look so naked and awkward. I think that my tattoos make me more beautiful and show off my personality more.

If you absolutely have to cover your tattoo at work, then I really don't see the big deal with wearing long sleeves, frankly. They're far and away the easiest option. Constantly bandaging it, or trying to cover it with make-up, just wouldn't be practical. I'm quite sure that either would rapidly become incredibly irritating. I can't even be bothered putting make-up on my face, and I can't imagine the faff involved in constatly trying to cover over a tattoo with it. Just buy some new shirts and be done with it, mate.

A BIG bandage wont have people asking...you get a new tattoo??????
and exp. makeup?,,,,...kinda missed
your face, huh? is that a birthmark?
Just wear a long sleeve shirt, if ya cant live without that job.......If you can, go get a new job. Tattoos are way to common in the work place now days. Face tattoos still arent accepted, but on your forearm????

I work in the hospitality industry and we need to look impeccable at all times. I have a tattoo on my upper arm that is quite large and instead of wearing long sleeved shirts i went and bought some black tights (our uniform is black), cut a tube just the length needed to cover the tattoo, and even though it looks a little strange, my boss prefers it to the tattoo, and i have never had a customer refer to it.

There is makeup you can use to cover it. Go to a department store like Dillard's, Hecht's, or Nordstrom's and ask someone at one of the cosmetics counters to help you choose a concealert that matches your skin tone. They will probably even cover the tattoo right there at the counter just to make sure it works before you buy it. This should enable you to wear short sleeved shirts without showing the tatoo at work. I have personal experience with this. It should work fine.

Although I wouldn't phrase it the same way Baphomet did, my sentiment isn't entirely different. Besides, what will be said when co-workers see bandages? Unless you're talking *way* expensive, it will be obvious up close that something is on your arms. And, if long sleeve shirts are what you want to do, why do you think (likely) tightly wrapped bandages are going to be any more comfortable?
Without knowing specifics I still think it would just be easier to own up to what you have.

a makeup would probably be more feasable and cheaper in the long run. ben nye has a makeup used in theater specifically for tattoo coverup.

I would just go with long sleeves. Yeah it sucks, but you made that choice when you got the tattoo.
