If you just started a relationship, and it's going okay, not spectacular, but not bad. Then out of the blue, someone you hadn't heard from in 6 years leaves you a message with her number.

The girl in question is someone Ihadn't spoken to in 6 years because of an argument, but prior to that, I had known her since grade 1, I am now 25. We found out during my last year in highschool that we both had feelings for each other for a long time, and we were really close, but we talked and decided not to do anything because we were going out with other people. We got into an argument because she wanted me to go the same university with her, but I choose to go elsewhere, she said I was abandoning her and that I didn't love her...I was upset she said that, and hadn't talked since.

I know nothing about her now, except that she's a model and a grad student...but I use to think about her, and use to wonder what if.....so now I feel like this is a second chance....what would you do?

while you are in a relationship see where that will head. Keep in touch with the old friend and if the current relationship fails on its own merits, then you can seriously explore a relationship with the old flame.

When I started going out with the guy who is now my husband he was in a silghtly similar situation. He chose me and is glad he did. While his old friend and I didn't get a long for a while we are now all good friends.

I would meet the old flame for lunch. A. You need to know if she has an agenda B. this will answer some of the "what if " stuff and C. You really never know when life might give you a first chance let alone a second one. But...consider the risks to the existing relationship. You could lose both entirely. Is the risk of finding out if you "might " have an opportunity to have something with the old flame worth giving up the new girl? But whatever you do. Tell the girls...don't play them, that would be cruel.

The relationship you are in is ok, but not spectacular, !! is that the way you want to live your life, ok, but not spectacular, if you are with the right person every minute should be spectacular, your crazy if you would just settle for ok, ring your ex, talk to her theres no harm in that, see how she is, she might just want to catch up and see how you are she might have a boyfriend or something, it it was me id ring her,
