A third grader would probably not post this question. For a better scholarly answer, one may consult the work of Josh Mcdowell - Evidence that Demands a Verdict, consult first century history of the nation of Israel by Josephus and Philo, study historical profile of Dr. Luke, a physician from Philippi who wrote the Book of Luke and Acts in the new testament, study also about Paul, a pharisee. The bible reader has to realize that first it records Israel's history which can be verified through other historical books then check fulfillment of old testament prophesies particularly those pertaining to Jesus and see how accurate are those prophecies written by different authors in different times. Archaeological studies, among others, also support Bible narratives such as those about the flood.

"Christianity was the ultimate product of religious syncretism in the ancient world. Its emergence owed nothing to a holy carpenter. There were many Jesuses but the fable was a cultural construct. Nazareth did not exist in the 1st century AD – the area was a burial ground of rock-cut tombs. Following a star would lead you in circles. The 12 disciples are as fictitious as their master, invented to legitimise the claims of the early churches. The original Mary was not a virgin. That idea was borrowed from pagan goddesses."

i don't know what the giggle test means...but this guy named William Ramsey (i think first name was william, positive about last name) set out to disprove the book of Luke and through doing so became Christian. He tested every minute detail and the book and it checked out. he decided because we could trust Luke's facts about the things we could test, we can trust him with the things we can't test...and Lee Strobel, Antony Flew, and CS Lewis all athiests, through disproving the Bible/Christianity/Theology became theists/Christians

Doubtful, but reading the Bible literally would be a complete misinterpretation anyways. I don't think our logic/knowledge can be used to interpret something so old. Not to say that it's false information, but a totally different written script of language and underlying messages that cannot be explained in today's age through our means.

Will your life stand the test of scrutiny in the day when God removes all the masks and men are seen for what they really are?
