By definition if you OD on anything it can kill you. It's the kidney damage caused by the acetaminophen that can kill you with the Tylenol PM.

Overdosing on any medication (over the counter or prescription) has the potential to kill you. Taking too much Tylenol PM is a very serious problem, and if you are considering doing so, please get help. Taking more than the recommended dosage of Tylenol PM can cause liver damage, kidney failure, stomach ulcers, and many other problems down the road.

Yes, tylenol has the cabability to kill someone if they should possibly overdose. It reaks havoc on your organs . Not only does it put your liver on overlaod, it also may cause severe irresistable renal damage ( your kidneys would be damage not to mention toxic waste building up in your body because the overload as I mentioned.) It is also problems with stomach bleeding. You would also maybe vomit and risking the chances of aspirating, with the vomit going into your lungs killing you and if you should live through that part, you would have a very bad lung infection.

I have a 27 year old dtr that overdosed on tylenol pm. we are not sure how much she took but I found her one am nonresponsive. she was placed in hosp and stay about 3 weeks. she went into multi organ failure which inc lung, kidney and renal. she was placed on life support, dialysis and several other life saving measures. she is now home and doing much better but there was a time that we received no hope. I would just like to tell someone to be careful taking any med and there is nothing in this world that praying to our GOD won't help. My hope was GOD and he gave my daughter another life and gor that I eill be so ever grateful.

Any medication can be a poison for your body if you are not following the instructions for proper use.
