whoever wrote scam should get a clue - People are so negative..

Anyway, Ive had Lupus for several years. It has had me hospitalized over twenty times in the past fours years. After having a stroke at 25 I went to a disability lawyer and with the help of him and my very caring doctor I was able to get it, although it took about two years. It is usually a long process, but it is worth it. They give you wonderful health insurance. No one would cover me because the Lupus had become a pre-existing condition. They will look at all of your symptoms, because every case of Lupus is somewhat different. For me, I have problems with my heart , lungs and blood, but I know some people who have just had problems with their kidneys. So, find a good disability lawyer and get the process started. Do yourself a favor and do not attempt to do it on your own. The lawyer will not charge a fee unless he or she gets you the disabilty, then they will just take the money out of your disability, so nothing comes out of your pocket. Good luck.

Sorry to hear of your trials.
Assuming your income is low, consider calling your local hospital's social worker or the Human/Social Services office. There is a possibility that you may qualify for medicaid or Social Security Disability. If you qualify, your medical appointments/hospitalization and most medications are covered.

If you do qualify financially for medical programs, you may also find help in other categories such as food, heat, or vocational rehabilitation services for re-training.
