Hollywood intends to re-write history but one only needs to research for themselves the validity of the claims. For example the quality of the New Testament documents can be validated outside of the Bible through the research of Josephus Flavius, Tacitus, Caesar's Gallic Wars, Herodotus, and Thucydides. In fact there are 5366 documents discovered so far to validate that the Bible we have today is 99.5% as accurate as it was way back then. For example:
The first-century Jewish historian Josephus referred to the stoning of “James, the brother of Jesus who was called the Christ.” (The Jewish Antiquities, Josephus, Book XX, sec. 200) A direct and very favorable reference to Jesus, found in Book XVIII, sections 63, 64, has been challenged by some who claim that it must have been either added later or embellished by Christians; but it is acknowledged that the vocabulary and the style are basically those of Josephus, and the passage is found in all available manuscripts.
Tacitus, a Roman historian who lived during the latter part of the first century C.E., wrote: “Christus [Latin for “Christ”], from whom the name [Christian] had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus.”—The Complete Works of Tacitus (New York, 1942), “The Annals,” Book 15, par. 44.
With reference to early non-Christian historical references to Jesus, The New Encyclopædia Britannica states: “These independent accounts prove that in ancient times even the opponents of Christianity never doubted the historicity of Jesus, which was disputed for the first time and on inadequate grounds by several authors at the end of the 18th, during the 19th, and at the beginning of the 20th centuries.”—(1976), Macropædia, Vol. 10, p. 145.
Internal evidence is pretty clear as well. 2 Peter 3:15-16 clearly states that the canon was already in the process of being collected for what we have today in the Bible. There were gnostic books but they were not accepted because they were written by Hellenistic writers that intended to change the original message of the Greek translation to imply that Jesus was not the Son of God.

Whatever gave you the idea that non-Christians don't like Jesus? I'm Agnostic, and I don't DISlike him, I just don't believe in the claims of his divinity.
On the other hand, most non-Christians I know don't mind Jesus at all - it's his followers they don't like.
I mean, imagine it this way - lets say that (since this is another modern-day reference) that those people who followed Dr. King's dream decided, after his death and his teachings of peace and equality, that they were going to enforce said "peace" by practically anhillating everyone who didn't believe in THEIR idea of peace (which, coincidentally, was NOTHING like their teacher's) in the name of Dr. King. Would you say, then, that those who were just trying to get by in this world and mind their own business with their own beliefs were DISLIKING Dr. King? Or are they instead disliking his followers?
That was a silly comparison, of course, but similar to your Hitler one. Does it matter if Jesus had kids? No, but the reason that SOME non-Christians are interested is because they like history, and it would also shatter the idea that Jesus was divine and pure - it would make him more human, and possibly make his message of peace more.....reachable. It might also spur an apology (eventually) to those religions that are NOT Christian, for the centuries/millenia of killing, tearing down of holy places, the crusades on the "holy lands", etc.

I think that people shouldn't talk about Jews in a negative context. Wasn't Jesus a Jew? I am not any organized religion, and I can see both sides of view. But if anything lets not say "Jews spreading myths". Plus, people do think that the DiVinci Code is real life, when it is in fact fiction.

better than the main radical atheists deny the existance of Jesus. traditionally the only data of Jesus is what's written interior the bible, and finding on the bible as a historic e book and not the be responsive to god, that's truly achievable that Jesus is made up. All money owed of Jesus interior the bible are written by skill of authors who did no longer meet him first-hand. there's a lot of examine carried out on the gospels of Matthew - Luke that discusses this. i think of numerous animosity in direction of Jesus is via the shortcoming of knowledge traditionally. upload onto that numerous the less tolerant christian behaviors, and you get atheists who insult what they view as an imaginary savior to return the abrasive concepts-set.

Um. Most human beings have children. To think that Jesus had children isn't quite the same as some Hitler myth. It's just putting him in a "what do most humans do" perspective.
Nice persecution complex tho!

Despite the attitude in the question....
not just non-christians think this there are some Christians who think this too. Its ridiculous to put that Hitler thing in.
That aside, lets face it in this hedonistic world, its hard for the average person to believe that a health charasmatic male could go a whole 33 years without having sex and spreading his seed so to speak. Which reduces all men to driveling idiots who can't do or think of anything else but sex. However, there are men and women who can have loftier goals than sex. It diminishes us all and Jesus to think one can't make it with out leaving a few wee ones behind.

I'm not a christian, but i love Jesus. he was a really cool dude. He was the biggest offender of the church of his time a.k.a. the Pharisees. He hung out with all the social rejects and helped people without question or bias. He was also one of the first feminists.

Because they will do anything, or say anything to smear the name of Jesus, and also to do the same to the Gospels. The more they can make Him to look like a human, rather than the Son of God, the more they can promote their anti-Christian agendas. If people think He was totally human, then certainly they cannot regard Him as divine.
As for me, Christ is divine, and my Savior. And He will always be so, regardless of the nonsense people write.
