Without a doubt. The Bible is the Word of God and clearly speaks and teaches about Heaven and Hell.

yes, I do believe in heaven, it is Jehovah God's house with all his angels, and, of course, Jesus. But, I really disagree the fact that there is hell. You know why? If the bible said that God is love (1 John 4:8) why would he torture people that make great mistakes in hell? besides, God willingly forgive our mistakes and give us chances to do good. Imagine this, would a loving father, or a loving mother burn their kids' hands when they make mistakes? Of course not! The worse thing they would do is to dicipline you. Same with God! In God's eyes, torturing people in hell does not finish the problem.
God is so loving to his creations, until he give his ONLY son to death, so we can be free from sin, and will have a bright future to live forever on earth. God promised us that in Revelation 21:4.
So, the summary is, there is heaven, but, certainly no hell. Because god loves us so much, he wouldn't torture his creations in hell.

I don't think it matters. I don't know. Nobody does. I just try to worry about this life for now and the next life if there is a next life. I'll worry about that when I get there. Pondering on a question that cannot be answered for certain is futile.
However, I do know that heaven and hell do exist in this life. Plenty of people are in these states of mind right now.
I think you should ponder on how to reach heaven, nirvana, whatever you want to call it, in this life.

oh my i cant believe some of these answers. The Bible says that heaven is a reward for those who have trusted Christ as their savior. Hell is the punishment for those who chose to ignore Christ. Unfortunately hell is a real place and if you dont have the blood of Christ to cleanse you it is where you will spend eternity in torment and agony.

No I don't believe either place literally exists.
I basically interpret those things as metaphors...e.g., if you don't have faith and believe in your "god-self", then you eventually succumb to depression and descend into a spiritual death or "hell".
On the other hand, if you do have faith in your "god-self", then you will experience continual "rebirth" and "eternal life".
All life is eternal, because once you die you are not aware that you are not alive in the first place. So for all intents and purposes your life has lasted eternally throughout the entire period of your consciousness.
Once you are dead you are no longer conscious, so there is no awareness that your life is over anyway.

Yes of course.
Even how much Christians explained everything about heaven and hell if you insist your non belief of God, the explanations coupled with our proof of the existence of heaven and hell making the bible as our basis, it is useless doing it.
It has been explain many times in the yahoo answers about its existence, yet nobody of you non believers, will believe it and insist on your belief on evolution .
of men from the apes or monkey.
Our belief in God and your non belief in God has created between us useless argumentation and debate which is not allowed in this Section of the yahoo. This Section ;is for gaining knowledge clearing of doubts, sharing of knowledge and others which is not considered violation of the rules on answers and questions section.

There is a book out called "A DIVINE REVELATION OF HELL" BY Mary K. Baxter
Here is some of what is in the book;
Satan still thinks he can overthrow God and disrupt God's plan, but he was defeated at the cross. I took the keys away from Satan, and I have all power in Heaven and in Earth,
(Jesus Talking to her)
"after this woman died, she went straitght to hell. The demons brought her before Satan, where inanger she asked why the demons had control over her, for on earth she thought she controlled them, There they had done her bidding. She also asked Satan for the kingdom he had promised her. "Satan kept on lying to her even after her death on earth. He said that he would restore her to life and use her for his purposes again. By deceit, she had gotten him many souls, so his lies sounded reasonable to her.
"But at the last, Satan had laughed and scorned her, He told her, "I deceived you and used yo all those years. I will never give you my kingdom." The devil waved his arms ant the woman, and it seemed that her flesh was being ripped from her boanes. She screamed in pain as a large black book was brought for Satan. He opened it and ran his finger down the pages till he found her name.
"Oh, yes, "Satan Said, "You did serve me well on earth. You brought me more then 500 souls. "He lied and said to her,"Your punishment will not be as bad as the others."
A cackle of evil laughter rang out. Atan stood and pointed a finger at the woman, and a great wind arose and filled the place. A sound like howling thunder rose from him.
"HA-HA," said the devil, "get your kingdome if you can." Then an unseen force slammed her to the ground.
"you are going to serve me here also." Satan laughed as she tried to get up. The woman screamed in pain as the flesh continued to be ripped from her bones by demons.
Jesus said," I have come to save all. I desire that all who are lost will repent and call upon My name. It is not my will that any should perish."
Your choise, do you believe in HEAVEN AND HELL?

like the earlier answerer said, heaven and hell exists, on this earth, at this moment. Some people live a heavenly life- many Americans, western europeans, other people who are born wealthy, etc. and there are many more who live in misery, africans, iraqis, poor asian and latin americans, for those people, living on earth is like hell on earth. If this is how fair the Christian heaven and hell are like, then I certainly hope there aren't heaven and hell after life. Just let these people die in peace, will you?!

I believe in Heaven and Hell according to my Religion Islam. According to my religion, there are two lives man live in ---One in this world (earthly life) and one Hereafter (that means the world after your death). Heaven is awarded to those who are righteaous and Hell to those who are wrongdoers. these are places...there are 7 heavens (according to the category of th egood people...Prophets, Saints, Believers etc.)and several Hells (for punishment). But in this world also the Creator creates Heaven and Hell (state of mind, state of success, happiness etc. ) for people whom HE wishes according to their deeds.....Righteousness and evildoings.
