According to my research, your laptop only comes with a DVD/CD-RW combo drive, which means it can READ DVD's (included burned ones), but cannot burn one. It will read and burn / rewrite CDs (CD-Rs and CD-RWs).

You will need a DVD burner before you can burn any DVDs.

You need a DVD burner on your computer in order to burn a DVD, no matter which type of program you bought for it. ALSO, the disc that you are putting in, is it a CD? or is it a DVD?

DVDs will ONLY right on DVDs, so you can't just put in a blank CD into the drive. You need to buy blank DVDs
