I am not christian (buddhist). I am sure there are some tolerant christians, but also am sure there are many who will ansew the question in the affirmative. Let's see who wins.
A previous questioner (very pro christian) made me think of this question....but...in retrospect...The west has been very pushy about it's christianity in the past and I believe it is one of the (many) underlying themes in problems with the mid east.
I don't mean to be derogatory...I am truly interested to hear from christians

No, christianity should not be the only religion (christian). There are some radicals, however, tolerance is the key to our world today. Never will or should christianity be the only religion.

Look at what is being taught to children in every Islamic school. "Islam is the Only religion and the others are false". Hear what the "Born Again Christians are shouting" Unless you born again, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. The Catholics would also say the same although many are still confused about their faith because I still see many of them believing in "The Art of Feng Shui" which is from Chinese Buddhist oracles. Wearing anything that they believe will bring them luck which are mixtures of ancient Egypt, Chinese, Japanese and Native Indian of American called the Shaman.
What I am driving at is those kind of claim from each religion is normal that should not be taken blindly specially if they are saying that there is only One Supreme Being. It simply brainwashing.

Any true disciple of Jesus Christ would not condemn some one for their beliefs. They would do good to all men and follow the laws of whatever country they are in.
They would try to bring others to Christ, through example and love, this in order to better the world.
This being said, the same disciple of Christ is bound to protect his country from those sworn to destroy it, as well as protect his family and preserve his right to also believe in the manor he chooses.
If some group chooses to declare war on a Christan people, they will have war. We are not a people who will change our beliefs to appease others. But given the chance we are a very giving people, and will do much to improve the entire world.

There was no coincidence on Calvary that Jesus was crucified between two thieves. These two men signify the choice each of us have. One mocked Jesus to his death. The other begged Jesus to remember him and Jesus said, "I tell you, today you will be in paradise". This is the choice God has given each person. Two choices. Believe in His son? Or not.

I am not the judge of a person's heart. I will leave that to God, and every Christian I know believes the same. It is for us to love and preach the gospel.....the rest is up to each person to decide.

Would you consider Europe as part of the "West"? For History shows us that it was the Europeans with the Crusades that were "pushy" when dealing with what they called "The Unholy" and "Ungodly" and "Heathens".

I was taught that a true believer in Jesus Christ was to live as he would. He loved ALL.

I believe that the goal for all humanity is to live as one, to love all, and to serve all for the good of all. We must all work together as brothers and sisters for we are all from the seed of humanity.

If you mean should everyone be force to be Christian. No.
I believe if you have a faith, you want to share it with everyone. However, true conversion comes from the conversion of the heart and mind.

While I would like everyone to choose Christianity, I don't agree with forcing anyone to worship God.

I don't think that is for any of us to say/decide. That is for God and Jesus to decide. For all we (Christians) know, our God may be the exact same God for countless other religions. Just a different package, image, language. God bless us ALL!
