My family and myself have been sick for 6 weeks now. I am beginning to think that it is the evil eye. What can I do to take it away from everyone? Please note that my husband is a skeptic, so I cannot let him know what I am doing.

I'm not sure how you are going to do it for your husband but... if it's the evil eye this is what we do... Take an egg, hold in your hand untill it's warm with your body heat (i guess you could leave it out in the room untill room temperature) Then you ask God to trap all evil into the egg, take away all sickness, etc. Make the sign of the cross, and say prayers Our Father, Hail Mary or any prayers you know. Repeat the prayers over and over as you rub the egg over your entire body. Throw in toilet and flush. Evil Eye usually comes with bad headaches. If one egg doesn't work do another one.
There are people who put the egg into a glass of water but why would you if you don't know how to read the "egg" Just flush it.
Evil Eye is someone admiring you, it's not a curse or voodoo. But A look that could kill.

We don't have the evil eye in my culture, but we do have anisgina or evil spirits. I'd hang some cedar up somewhere where he can't see it. Just take a sprig of it and tie it together, put it in a spot above the entry to the house if you can, or to the entrance to the room where you all spend the most time. It has to be the juniper type, not white cedar, but the kind you would find that has the little bluish berries on it.
You can also burn a bit of cedar to get rid of whatever it is in there. That works, but some people have a bad reaction to it.

You are a superstitious ninny. There is no such thing as "the evil eye." You're sick because there's an awful virus making its rounds, and you've become weary of dealing with it.
Don't waste your time looking for a way to deal with the evil eye. Instead, drink lots of fluids, get plenty of rest, and take acetaminophen for your fever. You'll feel better in several days, just like the rest of the population that has had this malady.

Funny you should ask. I'm currently reading a book titled Amulets and talismans written by Migene Gonzalez-Wippler. Some beliefs believe that wearing an amulet of 'the hand of Fatima'. Also a necklace of onyx beads was used by early Christan's as protection. I hope that this helps a little.

I just have to laugh ... and the Christians are blaming us pagans for witchin'!
(But any and all of those tricks work, if that's what you think it is. But usually evil eye affects small children, not entire families. But you know best. Basically, the evil eye is energy attack caused by jealousy and the person causing it may not even be aware of doing it. So have fun experimenting!)

I know in my town, there is a woman who you can go see, and you you bring her a red item. Once you go and see her she tells you if you have it and then she can take it off you by prayers. So im not sure how to find one in your town... i only know because my family is Italian.
PS there are evil eye charms and bracelets that help ward off and protect you from it.

The evel eye is only effective if you believe --
because faith is powerful to bring things into existence that otherwise wouldn't exist. So if you believe evil eye is making you sick, and your illness happen to gets worse, your faith is working just fine
on the other hand if you stongly believe God protects you from all evil, you are inmune!!
