Drinking Slim Fast has laxative effect on me. Is it just me..? Does anyone feel the same way?

I drink it often and sometimes two a day. It doesn't cause any laxative effect.

Slim fast products contain a sweetener called malitol, also known as a sugar alcohol, it can produce a laxative effect in some people, bloating, cramps and gas. Any kind of bowel problems can be irritated by it

Could be an allergy to the ingredients that are in it. I find that any time I eat or drink anything that I am sensitive to, it causes a laxative effect for me.

i did the slimfast diet before... i only used to have 3 shakes a day and no normal food... if thats what you are doing... u got it wrong. say... have a shake for breakfast and dinner and then have a chicken salad or something for your lunch... hope i have helped. kat x

Usually it's just the opposite. Depends on what other changes you made to your diet.
