Well my throat was hurting a little today- and I've been sneezing, and coughing a little. But throughout the day it got a little-slightly worse. So I decided to see what it might be- However, I've had strep throat before, and I remember the doctors checking for white like pus. On one of my glands I do have this pus, however I don't know if the symtoms will escalate- because I just found the pus today. And didn't even relize I could have strep throat, because the pain isn't very bad. Will the symtoms escalate/will I get a fever. Should I see a doctor, do I need treatment? And will the pus spread to my other gland also? Thank you

I think I am a strep throat expert by now, as my kids keep having recurrent strep... Strep can start off mild and escalate.. previously, it seemed very onset and terrible from the beginning, the last time my sons and daughter all had it with really no symptoms at all, other than my daughter having a red flushed looking rash, and one son having a very mild soar throat. Daughter was positive . I took my sons in next day and they as well had it... There are many complications that can arise from having strep, recurrent or untreated strep that I had never realized.. I would as a precaution have it checked out! Hope you get feeling better soon! :)

Does'nt sound adore it. The normal signs of strep throat incorporate: one million. Severe and unexpected sore throat with out coughing, sneezing, or different bloodless signs. two. Pain or drawback with swallowing. three. Fever over a hundred and one F; (diminish fevers would possibly point out a viral contamination and now not strep.) four. Swollen lymph nodes within the neck. five. White or yellow spots or coating at the throat and tonsils. 6. Bright purple throat or darkish purple spots at the roof of the mouth on the again close the throat. 7. Swollen tonsils, despite the fact that this symptom can also be prompted by means of a viral contamination. (In teens, mononucleosis can intent a extreme sore throat that appears like and has signs very similar to the ones of strep throat.) eight. It is handy to inform you probably have a sore throat or a bloodless. It is tougher to understand you probably have strep throat. Generally, sore throats are prompted by means of a viral contamination and now not strep micro organism. Strep throat more often than not does now not arise with bloodless signs comparable to coughing, sneezing, or a runny or stuffy nostril. The extra bloodless signs you've gotten, the fewer most likely it's that your sore throat is a strep contamination. nine. In a few instances of strep contamination, a dermis rash develops and spreads over the neck and chest and finally over the entire frame. The rash feels hard like sandpaper. This situation is known as scarlet fever. Scarlet fever is dealt with with antibiotics, which more often than not result in a fast restoration. Scarlet fever isn't damaging if dealt with.

Go to the doctor to find out.
Untreated strep throat can lead to much worse things--among them rheumatic fever which can be fatal. Just go to the doctor and avoid the hassle of anything worse.

Only a doctor can tell that by swabbing your throat and checking it! My daughter just got over strep....and they didnt think she had it just by looking in her mouth!
You should see a doc and have them run a strep test!!
Hope you feel better soon!

Strep throat makes you very sick. Only a medical lab test can determine strep.

I had the same thing a few days ago. I am not allergic to pollen but it is really getting to people. I went to the doctor yesterday and he told me I had a little bit of a sinuous infection. I had the same syptoms but it could be diffrent. Go to your doctor as soon as you can. Feel better!

if the strep test is positive, you have strep throat. otherwise, there is no definitive way to tell. otherwise, it could be a viral illness. go to an urgent care.
