You will have a hard time finding a newer scanner that will support Windows 9x. You can still find used hardware that you can download drivers from the Mfg's site or sites like driverguide.com. Driverguide.com requires free registration, and they don't spam you, so feel free to register with them. Usually they connect with a USB, Parallel or SCSI cable. The SCSI variety will require a SCSI adpapter. Try to find a USB or Parallel scanner. If you find one download the software and install before connecting the scanner to the computer. When it tells you to plug in the scanner do so. After installation is complete reboot. This should get you up and running. I hope this helps.

98Se drivers are almost impossible to find theses days.

If you can't find 98 drivers on the Acer web site, you may be out of luck.

It might be worth a shot to post a want ad on eBay or www.kijiji.com.
