I don't know how old you are, but at any age it is extremely hard. My son is now almost 4 and I had him when I was 19. I love him to death, but if I had to do it over again, I would wait until I was married. Luckily, the father and I get along great and plan on getting married eventually. You have to have support from either your family or the father and sometimes both! The baby also deserves to have that too. Just don't be selfish and have a baby "just because" you want one. You need to sit down and figure out the pros and cons and think about, long and hard. You should try babysitting for someone you know and see how it is to not be able to go anywhere at the drop of a hat and see how hard it can sometimes be. Now, that being said, it can be a wonderful experience, but it's extremely hard. Just take your time and make sure you have your priorities right and realize that you will no longer be thinking of just yourself. Good luck!

Sorry, I wrote a novel.

Just consider that all of your free time will be gone from here on out. You will have to take on new challenges everyday. Feedings, watching them 24-7. Work or have someone sit with them while you have to make the money. The medical costs are outrageous!!! I think its a courageous thing wanting to take on a little one. Just make sure your ready for it though. Good luck!

Can you afford the expenses that having, raising and educating a child entail?
Do you have the patience it requires to constantly tend to a child
Do you want a child for selfish reasons or would you be just as happy to raise an adopted child?
Do you love yourself? Do you like yourself? - You cannot give what you don't have!
Have you given up on finding a suitable mate? - Don't ever give up. If there is life, there is hope!!

Please consider the child. A child needs a mother and a father in a loving, stable household, which means marriage.
