Of course she would be arrested for killing her child. If she aborted her child at the same age- it would be legal and choice. Go figure- I cannot get how people reading your question would not get on their knees and beg God to forgive all the abortions in the world. GREAT QUESTION-
For those who think that late term abortions are illegal- they are wrong- they can do abortions all the way up until the baby is due in most states still in USA. My thoughts go this way as well- if a mom has a miscarriage she grieves the loss of her baby, when a woman has an abortion at the same stage of pregnancy she lost a fetus, or a mass of cells that are not human. Interesting how we live in denial. I will pray that God uses your question to open up some eyes and hearts.

Probably not, but what if that last month posed a threat to the life and health of the mother and child? What about at 7 months? 6 months? 5? I was born a month premature. I can't imagine anyone justifying an abortion in the 8th month unless it was a health threat. The problem is taking away rights and bans in general - it removes a lot of options - which can lead to greater problems. Currently, the government has a lot of power to restrict third trimester abortions. Ceratin types of abortions are already illegal. We're probably OK as is. But we must be vigilant against further restrictions on liberty in any form.

I don't think you can legally have an abortion at 7-8 months. Anyway, why would she want to do something cruel like starving the baby or leaving it outdoors? Women can now legally leave unwanted babies at local fire stations, police stations, hospitals, and other places without any questions asked or legal punishment. Better yet, why not allow a loving family to adopt the child?

Third trimester abortions only ever occur because of medical reasons. No doctor or abortion clinic would EVER abort that late into pregnancy unless it was killing the mother.

THERE WAS ALSO A WELL PUBLICISED CASE HERE OF A 73/4 MONTH ABORTION DONE IN A PERTH HOSPITAL, THE BABY LIVED IN A PETRIE DISH FOR 33 HOURS, IN THE BASEMENT NEAR THE INCINERATOR. THE HOSPITAL STAFF BROKE THE STORY AND SURPRISE SURPRISE, EVEN THOUGH IT IS ILLEGAL TO HAVE LATE TERM ABORTION HERE, THE DOCTORS AND THE MOTHER ESCAPED BEING CHARGED!

Late term abortions are not illegal in most states because the legislators realize no doctor would perform one except in cases of dire medical emergency. Most of the time, it is simpler and more feasible to deliver the baby early than to perform a late-term abortion, even in case of emergency.
