Actually there are people who do, I've known a few in my life. It's called Hellênismos - or Hellenic Paganism - it is a reconstructionist form of Paganism. And yes, it is serious not a parody religion like FSM.

And err, Georgiegirl: You are the one who seems to be forgetting who built civilization. Most of Western civilization comes from the culture and philosophy of Greece. So if your argument lies solely on which religion produced the more civilized and cultured society, one need only compare ancient Greece to Europe during the Dark Ages to see, sweetheart your religion would be on the loosing side. Christianity set civilization way back not advanced it.

It is doubtful that the Greek mythos ever really constituted a serious religion,and there is no reason to think it could now. Anyway,Greeks showed little compassion for the poor,the homeless,the crippled,the abandoned widows,the orphans. You forget who built our civilization. The Greek myths are useful for literary allusions,nothing more. But yeah,they are fun.
