The only thing I've ever found that worked was combing in a leave-in conditioner spray, after shampooing & regular conditioning during washing. As for diet I don't think that's had much effect on the dryness of my hair, usually the length had more to do with it. If I let it grow too long it gets very dry.

In Kerala state we use the following home made shampoo and we found it effective. Collect 5 to 6 shshoe flowerlant leaves and grind into a paste. Apply cocoancocoa nutn you hair before taking bath and wait for some time. Then start your bath and on the wet hair apply the paste with little water and rub like you do with ordinary shampoo. Do this at least twice a week. Your hair will be glossy and black and you will not be troubled by dandruff. There will be no oil found on your head after this type of bath. Try .Good luck to you.

If you wash your hair, then while still in the shower, rub (about a quarter size puddle in your hand) baby oil really well in your hair, make sure it get all over your hair, and then rince, your hair will be soft and hydrated for several days. Do this once a week, and I think you'll like the way your hair looks and feels. Baby oi is a very thin oil that will rince clean, Unlike other oils. Your hair won't feel greasy unless you use way to much and don't rinse well. just a little, work it in well, and then rince well.

I use john freeda's frizz ease after towel drying my hair. It's great. I also have a hair mask that leaves hair soft. Mash up 1 banana, add 3 tablespoons mayo and 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil. Mix well and apply to hair. Cover hair with plastic wrap and leave it on 15 to 30 minutes. Rinse and shampoo as usual. The potassium and vitamin A makes the hair healthy and shiny.

I have this problem!!
Only WASH your hair 2 times a week...if you need to wet it (in order to style it or whatever) just rinse and put in conditioner. Use a leave in conditioner too, and or a shine spray. But only use shampoo 2 times per week.

try to leave in just a little conditoner after you get outta the shower. maybe get a gloss that keeps your hair shiny and smooth. it may make it feel better. pantene actually has parafin wax which, with over use, can be heavy and excessivly build-up, maybe try a clarifying treatment, a deep condtioner and some smoothing products

Leave the conditioner in your hair for over 2 minutes. You could also try leave-in conditioner and the V05 hot oil treatment kind of "revives" your hair and makes it look less dry/dead
