So if someone wanted a well-rounded knowledge of science, but then only read one physics book, you would say that they should read multiple science books in different fields of science, am I right?

So like wise, if you are really interested in religion and spirituality, you probably should read more than just the bible, am I right?

All religions come from the Heart, Love, why should we try to find out of ourself, what is In each of Us?
We are all Love, then what could a religion bring us???
This is a prehistoric view, the only religion is Pure Love, that's ALL.

You can always ask Hermes, he is always around!
The emerauld table says it all.
Everything is underelated in a mysterious ways.

The bible is good but the way we interpretate it right now cause more confusion and war. Why??? We are not connected to what we are anymore , (divine) and lost the ability to read metaphore and rich poetry that it was divinely made of...

Well it's my vision...Usually never shared by others since i never get any response to my answers!
But hey, good luck!
The idea of Connectedness is crystallized in the
Doctrine of Correspondence, as it appears in the “Em-
erald Tablet of Hermes”:

What is below is like that which is above, and what is above
is like that which is below.... Ascend with the greatest
sagacity from the earth to heaven, and then again descend
to the earth, and unite together the powers of things supe-
rior and things inferior. Thus you will obtain the glory of
the whole world, and obscurity will fly far away from

If you wish to study religion as a hobby, or as an anthropological science, then this advise would be good. What you are studying then is not God, but Humans and how they try to relate to God.

If, however, you are pursuing God in your study, then you must study only those things that He has revealed, and not counterfeits. True religion is not the study of "Man's ideas about God". True religion is finding a relationship with a real Person, who has revealed Himself at several different points during history. All roads do NOT "lead to God". This is a common, modern fallacy.

I'm sure that by science you do not mean the fields of alchemy, astrology, numerology, parapsychology, homeopathy, other any other fields some would call pseudo-science.

Likewise there are parallels in religion. I would not care to read anything about scientology for example. As you develop a personal philosophy about God, you are able to separate truth from untruth. You learn how religions differ in doctrine, and how some make more or less sense than others. Christianity in my opinion beats the others hands down.

Yes, that is true./
How can you get to know about the secrets of Knowledge?, is by first following the ten commandments. As following I mean of course you can follow then if you don't brake any one of then at any giving time. So, if in Sin, yes you can ask for forgiveness, and you will be forgiving, but it may depend of your record in the practice of keeping and respecting the practice of the ten commandments, the reach you will have to the Universal knowledge.
This can be call as some of the secrets of Knowledge, which will be regulate by our own spiritual entity, which can be free from the Body, and try again in is own, if we don't prove to be Worthy enough to accept the true about God.

To find your truths one must begin the ardous journey within, that is the key to all things, no matter what belief you hold. We must remember for one thing Christ was not christian he was a jew, for a second thing he learned more than just the jewish laws at the time spending time among many different religous affiliations and speaking to them about his conscepts of the New spritual reveloution. It matters not your path, many paths one ending place. But there are plenty of excellent source materials on all religions to read, take them as they are meant to be read as stories or lessons to be learned from. For tuths look at history history does not lie, or we are doomed to keep repeating them. Most importantly listen to your heart and filter through your brain we have that ability for a reason use it. When Abraham first spoke to God and asked God what Gods name was God simply replied I AM I AM. That means at least to me God is in us all inside waiting to be tapped and discovered, it is like I said though a personal and sometimes painful journey there and only you can decide if it is worth your time for the truths and knowledge you seek. Wether you call your diety God, Buddah,Mohhamad or whatever its all the same creative force. We have better things to argue about. It is simply packeaged a different way.

Hello, Hermes!

I find the science/religion analogies to be a uncomfortable in many ways because, simply enough, they tend to excerbate problems rather than explain a situation as the analogizer might wish.

But yes, one who were truly interested in religion and spirituality would have read the primary source material of other religions. I would think that before claiming that one's own religion is the "true path", one would have read the primary source material of other religions to verify this. Of course, most religions demand faith which requires a sort of blindness.

It's curious how your referals seem to be...localized.

Yea, someone else out there who is starting to awaken!
Did you know that some parts of the Bible are only excerpts of the full text, leads me to wonder why they didn't include the whole thing...until you actually read the full text and see that it was for political reasons.
