There are many books written by Prophets which are not appearing in the bible because those were written as duplication of the some books published in the bible.
Some are not important to the study of God and religion, so the books were digested and was written in the ;bible.
If all the books written by the prophets will be written in the bible, it will be a very big book that could not be finished to read for 100 years. So the important ones were only written in the bible.

YES!!!! Just do an internet search. The one I found most interesting was Enoch (Noah's Great-Grandfather or possibly more above him, I forget...he IS mentioned in the King James Version, but his chapter/prophecy is left out. I can't tell you exactly where Enoch is mentioned but it is very near the beginning in Genesis or so when they list whom begat whom. Possibly nearer the story of Noah and the Ark. I just looked it up the other day.) There are other stories/prophets left out. I had seen a movie/or documentary (not sure) about a council WAY BACK in time apparently voting as to what should stay and what should be left out of the Bible. It was probably in Greek times, hence the translation from Greek. You'll have to look that up as I am not entirely sure of the time frame when they decided what would and would not make it into the Bible. The Bible has never been intact. The King James Version is called so, because again: I heard King James decided how it would be translated and what it would include. I could be very wrong, and have no sources for this, other than something talked about in school long ago. Scary, huh! My friend even took a college course about ancient mythological literature and I asked her what they would be covering and the Bible was included with the Odyssey, Illiad and others we don't normally associate with one another! Scary, but makes you think!!!

The Old Testament was in Hebrew and the New Testament books were in Hebrew and Aramaic, they were later translated into Greek and Latin, and then English. In Protestant Bibles such as KJV 7 books have been removed. In the NAB or Douay Rehiems Bible which are Catholic Bibles they have the 7 books. There are also Gnostic Gospels that were not included in the original bible . The original Hebrew transcripts of the Old Testament are the Dead Sea Scrolls which are in Hebrew, Iam not sure where the original transcripts of the New Testament are.

(1) Is the bible missing any pages that were left out?
I always here rumors that their were chapters left out of the bible does anyone know if that is true.
There are other writings in some Bibles but I have Faith that God through His Power has sent us the Bible that we need to Know and Learn How to be Saved.
Romans 1:2 - (Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)
2 Timothy 3:15 - And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
(2) Also did the prophets number the chapters and verses or was that down when being translated.
I understand the the Translators added chapters and verses to make locating and making reference to scriptures easier.
(3) Last but least why was it translated from Greek and not Hebrew if those people were Hebrew? If there are Hebrew translations where are they?
The Old Testament was written in Hebrew and the New Testament was written in Greek as i understand it.

Final words of Revelation.. I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of Prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life & in the Holy City, which are described in this book....
Heaven help those who translated & did not include all books as instructed or removed portions thereof. I Believe that if it were incomplete when first written then God would have destroyed it.
I have heard about this book & that book being dropped or not put in depending on religion

Of all the languages in which the Bible was originally written, the most famous is Hebrew, the original language of the Old Testament, and Koine Greek, used in the writing of most of the New Testament. However, most Christians are unaware of the fact that several other ancient languages also had an important bearing on the writing or transmission of the original texts of the Bible.

lots and lots!! Hell fire & brimstone folks who swear that the Bible is GOD"S FINAL WORD will argue about it until eternity but history of the Bible will tell you that we are only getting to see what man and the Church over the years has decided that is necessary for us to know. After all we are sheep you know. Imagine reading the 2 versions of Stephen Kings "The Stand" there was probably 10 times that much stuff "edited" from the original Bible and the one we know today. Another example just look at the differences between a Catholic Bible and the King James Version. They are still on my reading list but I don't take much stock in them.

I will just address the Old Testament here.
In the New Testament there is the verse that says that the Jews were given the Oracles of God. That reference locks out the Apocryphal books so we are left with the Old Testament as in the protestant bible.

The Bible wasn't written, as a single book. No one can say for sure, what should be in it, until they fully understand the book of Revelation, as template for the complete Bible. (I don't understand much of it, as such. But I do understand enough, to say that it is at least one valid interpretation of that final book) Most folks would rather look at that book as spectacular, and try to use it to predict the future. It's not as exciting to think of that book as simply a study guide, but, it works. And yes, if you look for the pattern, woven into the fabric (like a tapestry), you can see some obvious omissions, and alterations. Not to worry, the overall picture is very clear, repent; and sin no more...thanks...

Please read this verse carefully…
Mark 10:46
Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples, together with a large crowd, were leaving the city, a blind man, Bartimaeus (that is, the Son of Timaeus), was sitting by the roadside begging.
Now notice how they came to Jericho and they immediately left? What did they do there? You can see that a whole lot of text is clearly missing. So, this demonstrates how the NT writings were mutilated.
BTW. The text that is missing is found in “the secret gospel of mark”, and this book was written in Hebrew. Certain early Church fathers (heretic hunters) made the mistake of mentioning this book. The reason they mutilated Mark is, well, do some research to find out.

Good questions. An interesting book to read is called "The Bible, Quran, and Science" by Maurice Bucaille. He writes about the history behind the old testament and the gospels. It's interesting.
