Why didn't he give them souls?

Why did he create a sentient being without a purpose

Why did he grant them the ability to feel pain if all they're supposed to do is serve us?

Why did got kill almost all land animals in the flood when they hadn't done anything

Why does god hate animals?

I'm afraid some people don't understand the question.

If god loves animals, then why does he make them suffer simply for our ammusement?

I don't think that's right, that's why I care!

If there is a god, then animals would be in heaven... otherwise why bother going there? They are so cute and such.

Modern religions are way off, in my opinion native american culture had it the most right... at least they recognized that we ARE animals. If animals don't have souls then neither do we, because we are them (and behave just like them).

Personally, I can't stand being around people stupid enough to claim superiority over animals.

God does not "hate" animals. Far from it. He created Mankind to watch over and take care of the animal kingdom, along with the earth. Care and concern for our (tame, livestock) animals is commanded in the Decalogue, and God's concern for simple beasts is recorded in the book of Jonah (at the end, during God's rebuke to Jonah). The nobility and simple wisdom of many creatures are used as teaching points in the Wisdom books, and God chose a lowly animal, a donkey, to speak to a man (rebuking the madness of the prophet Balaam) and to carry His Son, Jesus, into Jerusalem.

Pain has a purpose. Pain is a message from one part of the body to the brain: "Stop doing that, it does damage". Most animals need to feel pain (negative stimuli) in order to survive. Also, if you think about it, the animals aren't here to "serve" us (although many do). We were put here to "serve" the animals, by managing the planet.

Humans alone have souls, because they are made in the image of God, and sentience is a big part of that image!

The flood happened because of the wickedness of Humanity. It would be impossible for God to flood and destroy the Human population (executing a mass judgement on humans) without executing the animals around them as well. Notice, however, that not only humans were saved in the ark: animals of all types were represented as well. Guess who was outnumbered on the boat? Hint: there were only 8 people on the ark.

The real issue should be: why don't people follow God's lead, and take better care of the Earth and the animals in it?

PS God doesn't make animals suffer for our amusement. That is a sicko HUMAN hobby, and completely un-Godly!

Do you yourself believe that they don't have souls? If so, that don't fret over what you have no control over. I personally don't believe god is capable of hate, nor do I beleive animals don't have souls. If you are christian, pray to god for the answer, and if not, that choose not to beleive that, or better yet, do what you feel is right. As fasr as I am concerened, no one has the right to put a limit on your own spiritual beleifs, and we should never give anyone that ability. God will love us no matter what. And as long as you learn from your mistakes and grow from them, and ask for frogivness, you should be able to beleive what you want. Sol, if you don't want to beleive that animals heve no soul, then don't and then you can be thankful for there soul.

God called His creation good and that includes animals.

He doesn't love animals like He loves humanity. We are made in His image. Animals cannot worship God or love Him so they can't have a relationship with Him as we do. It makes perfect sense. You are worrying needlessly over this.

Animals were made for the service of man. The reason they feel pain and die is because MAN sinned. It's not God's fault.

By the way, God in His goodness saved a male and a female of each animal during the flood so that they could reproduce and fill the earth.

He doesnt hate animals. He created everything for a purpose. God saved a male and a female of each animal in the flood so that they could reproduce and the population of that animal could come back. God made them.

Perhaps a better way of thinking about it is: why does God love people? Why did He make people with a free will knowing full well we'd use it to rebel against Him? Why did God send His only begotten Son to pay the price for our sin, so we could experience forgiveness and an eternal relationship with God? Why does God love us so?

You're missing the point... animals were not created as "pets" this is something we, as people have donned on our "friends". I have owned pets all my life, but believe that God created animals for His purpose to give us (man) dominion over for food, work, and sacrifice (Old Testament).

He didn't give them souls because of this very reason. God doesn't hate, He loves.

He killed all the animals because he was disappointed in mankind and how bad we became as people.

I recommend you reading Genesis 6.

If he didn't like animals he wouldn't created them. God protects his creatures; for example, how do you think animals have manage to survive to this time? You see, man has always destroy and kill. Don't blame God, blame those people who destroy forest, natural habitats, and animals.

God created the animals so He loves them more than you do. How can you make a statement about what God loves when you don't know His character? I know you don't know His character because you have made Him sound like a tyrant. Why do people think that they have more love than God, when He is the author of love. You should trust in His goodness that He will do right to animals.
