i cant get the rotor bearing assm. off, i have the axle bolt off one of the boks i have said i need to remove the whole assm from the steering knuckle. but i can take that off unless i remove the u joint. so now i stuck. i am wondering if i need something like somekind of puller. thanks for the help

The rotor is not part of the bearing assembly. On my 97 all that was necessary was to remove the brake caliper, remove 3 little clip nuts from the wheel studs and remove the rotor.
I confirmed that by looking up the parts at Autozone.com. The rotor is listed separately, and you don't have to remove the axle nut or bearing assembly.
If you insist on removing the bearing assembly, put your axle nut back on a few threads and tap on it with a dead blow or brass hammer to loosen the axle in the bearing assembly.
There are 3 12 point bolts coming into the assembly from the back side of the steering knuckle. Loosen these a few rounds and rap on the bolt heads with a 2 pound hammer and the bearing assembly will pop out of the knuckle.

remove thr caliper and holding bracket and then remove the torx bolts round the hubs next to the studs and tap it off.

What year? Which model(1500,2500,3500)? Engine size? Front or rear?
