I also served as an Army Medic, (20 yrs. and now work in a Veterans hospital) but those that came before me gave me freedoms not available anyplace in the world, those that came after me are now sacrificing. I am always humbled by the selflessness of the beautiful people who are our U.S. military.

They deserve much better than we are providing.

Your forgetfulness is forgiven. It is always a pleasure to hear from appreciative Americans for the veterans of this country. I'm sure you've seen much as an Army Medic that few are exposed to seeing, so for that I extend my thanks to you.

You are also providing an invaluable service to our veterans so my hat is off to you as well.

Right on bro. I'm *gasp* democrat, and did 9 years AD. Was happy as hell to storm Iraq during GW #1 when the reasoning was sound and the world was behind us.

Too bad the war-mongers of today aren't so quick to put their money where their mouths are.

Thank you for this beautiful expression of gratitude for all vetrans. My brother was a Vietnam Vet and he needs all the well wishes and supposrt he can get most of the time.
