I've got naturally very dark brown hair, and last year I had it dyed jet black until about September when I decided to let it grow out. Unfortunately, my roots started showing and I decided to try and get rid of the black dye by using a light brown to lighten it. This didn't work and now my hair somehow is a mixture of dark brown, medium brown and black. Should I just dye it all black again? It looks a bit suss.

I don't want to spend a lot of money at the hairdressers so supermarket dye will do, I think.

You Will Need To Use A "Color Remover" (NOT BLEACH) Like Color Oops Or L'OREAL® Hair Color Remover Kit (In The Beauty Supply Store L'OREAL Effasol Or Jeri Redding ONE N' ONLY®) To Remove The Existing Dye. Apply CAREFULLY To The Darkest Areas FIRST. Then, When You Have Removed The Color. Wash The Hair Throughly (VERY Important, If You Don't Remove The Chemicals, The New Color Won't "Take" Or It May Fade Quickly) Then, Condition The Hair With The Best Product You Can Get And Recolor Good-Luck!

Youv'e got basically two options here. One, you can buy a dye close to your natural hair color, dye it, and then let it grow out, or, two, you can dye it all black or whatever color you want until it grows out again. then you'll just have to dye it all over again. it just depends on what look your going after. good luck!

idk about only supermarket dye..when i did my hair blk and wanted it out...i had two choices..either wait for it to grow...or have to go and get it lightened then add another color over it...I'm sure there must be some product out there now...but i would rather go to a hairdresser and get their thoughts before adding color on top of color damaging your hair more and more. But I think blk is pretty much like red...once you get it in its nearly impossible to get out.....
