Ear Coning also known as Ear Candling is a theraphy that has been used since ancient times. Because more and more people are seeking less intrusive ways of healing lately, ear coning is making a resurgence as an alternative to helping with the removal of wax, flaky skin, bacteria and parasites from the ear canal.
The Cone shaped candle is placed in the ear canal and the top end of the cone is ignited. The cone is typically made up of cotton dipped in wax and is hollow on the inside. When the cone is ignited, it creates an upward vacuum that will suction up wax, skin and other other substances up from the ear canal and into the lower portion of the Candle.
People have experienced the following from a session of a Ear Coning
Sinus Pressure release
Sore-Throats relief.
Wax and Dust Buildup
Ear Aches Relief
Allergies Relief
Stimulated energy points in the ears
Relief of Swimmer's Ear.
Help with equilibrium problems
Some Hearing Impairment restoration
State of extra High relaxation
Stimulation of the lymph nodes
Headache and Migraine Relief
Ringing-in-the-Ears Relief
Relief from Pressure discomfort. (High Altitude reasons: Air Travel)
This is an Alternative Method of cleaning and working the with the ears but since it is not a "MEDICALLY APPROVED" procedure, a disclaimer must be given that none of the above are claimed or guaranteed. It is what people have described they experienced after recieving a session or two of Ear Coning. It is suggested that you consult your physician for their opinion and understanding of the procedure.

No kidding here, they make an ear candle. It's kind of like a funnel, is made of bee's wax and you set this thing on fire to draw out any wax or buildup in your ears. I've seen this once at a health food store and on the label it mentioned a warning about catching your hair on fire. Personally, I don't think I'd want to try it.

According to the hospital near me, create a mixture of 1/2 saline solution and 1/2 hydrogen peroxide. Use a syringe and squirt it in your ear. Let it sit for a couple of minutes and rinse with luke warm water.

I remember a doctor saying that you shouldn't stick anything smaller than your elbow into your ear. Q-tips and such do get some of the earwax out, but they push a lot of it further in and it builds up.

Turn your head sideways and put a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in them. Let it fizz, then dump it out.
