um ... do we even know what Jesus actually said? all we've got is hearsay, some texts written some 30-70 years after Jesus purportedly died. then the Council of Nicaea had at it, picking and choosing which books would be officially called "The Holy Bible". then it's translated from Hebrew and Aramaic into every major language and every one has a shot at interpreting what the Bible means by what it says. everyone gets to pick and choose what scriptures are to be literally interpreted and which are symbolic. everyone gets to create their own version of Jesus and if you get enough people agreeing with your version you have a sect.

no one knows what Jesus might have really said and a lift of an eyebrow or a hand gesture can make all the difference in the world in conveying a thought.
Messiahs, Avatars and Saviors are a "you have to be there" kind of thing otherwise all you're getting is the impression of an experience someone else has had. and the people you're relying on for an accurate description of Jesus and events surrounding him where primitive and superstitious
fishermen and goat herders.

because there is faith in Jesus and His commandments through the Spirit of God ... and then there are private interpretations of men reading the bible and forming cults around certain ideas ....
