Is this the same for aircraft and watercraft???

A statute mile per hour is 5,280 feet per hour. A knot is 6,076.11549.feet [one nautical mile] per hour

The ratio of those two is about 1.15 (6076/5280) so just multiply the speed in knots by 1.15 to get a usable answer.

Yes it is the same for boats and planes.

Basically it is mph=knots*1.15

It is the same for aircraft ground speed as for warercraft.
