I ate a bowl of prime mortal soup. With a side of salty crackers.....of course.

It's impossible to point out all the flaws of their "arguments". All they can do is to keep rehashing the same old antiquated beliefs and total misunderstanding of what science is and all the different subjects it validates. The single, most boring, motif of their untenable position is that because believers can't produce "evidence" of God's existence, that, therefore, God doesn't exist, violating the fallacy of ad miseriocordiam, The Reductionist fallacy, - the list goes on and on. It irritates them that belivers (such as myself) totally destroy their silly, myth-based beliefs. The most glaring mistake they commit is to try and indict modern Christians for what so-called Christians did centuries ago. Well, gee- there were alot of atheists that owned slaves during slavery, so I guess we can stereotype all atheists with that sin as well. They cannot bring facts to the argument other than what they mistake as facts that ultimately show to be frauds committed in a sad attempt to strengthen their already ridiculous and assinine "scientific" belief system (their religion-false science). This is what happens when people allow their brains to be hijacked by charlatans whose relativistic world view finds a home in willfully misled and ignorant "minds". Maybe, though, there might be a modicum of truth to evolution, which for them simply means that in about ten-million years from now they make actually begin to show signs of intelligence.

dont you hate it when christians try to persucate Atheists. i am a good person i dont drink, smoke, steal or do any other bad or illegal things, yet i know many christians that drink, smoke, steal, cheat, lie, have pre-Marital sex and do other unethical things(most christians do). And what do they say just cause iam an athesits iam a bad person. all christians are Hippocrates. doesnt it say some where in the bible about not lying and cheating. iam not saying that i dont lie but i am not following a religion that says i shouldnt.
people started to developed religion to explain what they could not understand. what makes christianantiy better or different than any other relgion that has existed. i bet that if you went back in time and told the greeks that there was no Zues or Poseidon they would think you were crazy. All relgions will eventually come to an end. i would just think that by now as smart as we are that religion whould be extinct. science is the only. people just cant come to terms that there is no after life.

uh...first of all...Catholic doctrine does not speak against evolution. Catholic doctrine accepts evolution as true...because the last pope was a learned man (and any learned man must come to the conclusion that evolution is the most plausible process to explain the origin for life).
Obviously, however, all those X-tians that did nothing to stop the process of human evolution came here and succeeded in deterring it just a little.

#1 I think it was wrong of you to stereo type Christians in such a way
#2 The Church does not endorse any theory of evolution, but she has not condemned all of them. Catholics are still free to interpret the creation accounts literally.
The Church maintains that the spirit cannot evolve (obviously). Thus, properly speaking, human beings cannot be evolved. The Church does allow for the possibility, however, that the material part of human beings could have developed over time through God's guidance.

Not a Christian, but I can tell you one good method to stop evolution, stop using computer and stop doing anything but sitting in your room to rot, generation later, you (or your descendants) will start to devolve.
In fact, stop using your muscle and they will start to degenerate and slowly devolve.

Hm. I think we're getting a bit confused. There is nothing wrong with believing in evolution within a species. Christians however believe the biblical account of creationism. If you don't, okay.
Enough? Good, thanks.

We cannot stop evolution. We can only stop pretending that it happens without a reason.

Fabyolla,
Since evolution does not exist according to everything that we have been able to prove, there is no reason to attempt to "stop it". It is a rather poor excuse for a theory according to many people. Have a great evening and a wonderful weekend.
Thanks,
Eds

There are some things in this world that God intended to evolve, and there are some things that are to remain the same. I try to distinguish the two and react according to God's intention.
