Mathew 7 verse 15 to 20 is not a prophecy of Jesus. He was teaching the people on how to detect false prophet who approached man dressed in a kind of leather made from the skin of sheep, but inside his heart, the prophet is like a wild dog.
He said we can see from the teachings of the false prophet, the bad results there off because as you see
in this example that a good tree will bear a good fruit
and a bad tree will bear a bad and ugly fruit.
And He emphasized further that a good tree could not bear bad fruit and a bad tree could not bear a good fruit.
Jesus made it clear that every tree that bear bad fruit be cut off to be thrown to a fire and He mean to say that the false prophet when judgment comes, that false prophet be punished to to go hell to suffer the heat of lake of fire eternally.
That is how you could detect a false prophet.

Well, in the vs. you give Jesus is warning against the false ones. I am not sure which true prophet verse you speak of, but to hazard a guess I would say you are forgetting something. Some of the prophets you may never hear of as they are not recorded or their works are as yet unheard of or discovered. Then there is John and he is most certainly a true prophet and validates Jesus claims. Plus, Jesus did not say every year or every "time frame of your choosing" a prophet will appear. I am sure some are yet to come and others may have been minor and specific to one person or a single group.
This would also hold true for the false ones. Though it seems that they come up more frequently. I would say that this is due to two things. First, it is easier to pull some one away from the faith with just enough of a twist and still seem like a good thing. Second, it is a test for the faithful to watch and judge the words and fruits of such people that is a chaffing block.

During the trib there will be prophets...for we know the two witnesses will be prophesying in Jerusalem.
There are many who claim to be prophets today, but from what they have said/written and I have heard/read they are not prophesying, but merely repeating what anyone can find in the news.

In the OT a false prophet was to be stoned to death. The difference is that today no-one pays attention to what is false. They simply accept it and say everyone is entitled to make mistakes...but not so. A prophet of God has to be 100% correct, 100% of the time. Otherwise they are not a true prophet

The test of true/false prophets is in Deuteronomy 18:20-22.
Since a true prophet is someone who speaks God's Word, then we know there are many true prophets, even today.
False prophets are those that are proven false, OR who speak contrary to God's Word.

There are true prophets, but they won't fight for air and radio time, or beg congregations for money to live expensive lifestyles. A real prophet only speaks when God tells them to, and they don't draw attention to themselves. They will never speak just for the sake of talking. Anytime you see someone constantly trying to predict something, or tell others about themselves because they are a Prophet, most likely they're lying. That's not how prophets work.

did the future begin during Jesus ministry--after his death--if after his death. Start reading history--you will find many false prophets. Every preacher that is true to the word could be one. Remember Jesus message was to everyone not just to the great.

I believe Jesus' was warning his apostles that there would be many "prophets" that would come out from them and spread a false Christianity/gospel, such as the gnosticism> The True faith was/is guarded by the holy spirit from the apostles to the bishops and so on for 2000 years in the Catholic Church.

question: "replaced into Jesus' assertion to the disciples in Luke 9:27 (additionally Matthew sixteen:28; Mark 9:a million) incorrect?" answer: Luke 9:27 says, "I help you understand the fact, some who're status here won't flavor dying earlier they see the dominion of God." See additionally Matthew sixteen:28 and Mark 9:a million for the parallel costs. In all the synoptic Gospels, the subsequent journey at cutting-edge after this promise from Jesus is the transfiguration. somewhat than examining Jesus' promise as concerning His coming the set up His kingdom on earth, the context exhibits that Jesus replaced into concerning the transfiguration. The Greek be conscious translated “kingdom” is additionally translated “royal attractiveness,” which ability the three disciples status there might see Christ as He fairly is—the King of heaven—which took place in the transfiguration. The “transfiguration” refers back to the form defined in the above stated passages whilst Jesus took Peter, James, and John to the terrific of the mountain, the place He met with Moses and Elijah—representing the regulation and the Prophets of the previous testomony—and spoke with them. The disciples observed Jesus in all His glory and attractiveness, talking with a glorified Moses and Elijah. that's a glimpse of what's going to happen in Jesus' kingdom. The disciples have been dumbstruck on the sight and “fell on their faces” (Matthew 17:6). it variety of feels maximum organic to interpret this promise in Matthew sixteen:28; Mark 9:a million; and Luke 9:27 as a connection with the transfiguration, which "some" of the disciples might witness only six days later, precisely as Jesus anticipated. In each Gospel, the very next passage after this promise from Jesus is the transfiguration, which exhibits Jesus in all His glory which would be considered returned in the dominion of God. The contextual links make it very in all probability that it fairly is the appropriate interpretation. i'm hoping this permits. people who have confidence in Jesus don't think that he's fake, yet seek for the fact. In those days they spoke differnetly than us, so he would sound differnt, yet continually tells the fact.

Matthew 7:15-20
Beware of false religious teachers, men who come to you disguised as sheep, but are greedy wolves.
I really don't think you have to go beyond 15 if you have the words from another Bible than the one you quote. It's quite clear to me that Jesus would be talking of such as Jimmy Swaggert, Falwell, Robinson, and all the various cultists who pretend knowledge of the "End of World."
