Paper is made from trees, but it can be recycled.
Plastic isn't recycled, so what is it made out of?

I believe paper is better. Also, I hear plastic has been banned in several places, inclusing San Francisco. That makes it seem like paper is better.

I know I can reuse both bags as trash bags. And is it true that you can recycle plastic bags??

Would you rather cut a tree or harm the environment.

Paper, it is biodegradable and can be recycled and renewed by planting more trees. Plastic is made from petrochemicals and does not degrade so it sits in land fills forever.

Wrong - plastic is usually made from petroleum, but can also be made from any hydrocarbon, including most plants, wood, coal and jelly beans. Plastic is very recyclable as it can be reworked into other products without fundamental chemical change. When paper is recycled into new products the fibers get smaller and smaller - that's why copier paper made from recycled paper is crummier than new paper and test to jam printers with dust and fibers.
