not at all....in fact most ppl only see their probation officer once a month...
all the probation officer is concerned about is making sure the probationer stays out of trouble with the legal system until they are successfully discharged..
but from time to time you may find a probation officer that will go "above and beyond the call of duty"..and take a special interest in a probationer...but for the most part it is up to the individual themselves to seek help to correct the problems that have landed them on probation...

Not at all, probation officers are merely responsible for the number of years the person is on probatoin, and not even for correction but merely to record and report what happens. The person on probatoin is responsible for thier own action and correction.

The probation officer will report and violate a person not following thier rules.

They are responsible for ensuring the parolee follows their parole conditions. They can also assist them (if asked) with programs to help them with job training / anger management /etc.
