True all people sin and fall short As for smoking, no that is not something a Christian would do. Romans 12: 1 Consequently, I entreat you by the compassions of God, brothers, to present your bodies, a sacrifice living, holy, acceptable to God, a sacred service with your power of reason To present our bodies a sacrifice living and holy we would not foul our body with cigarettes.
Yes one can be a Christian and drink, but we would not drink to get drunk, if we did that we would not be presenting our bodies as holy.
Premarital sex, no 1 Thessalonians 4: 3 For this is waht God wills , the sanctifying of you, that you abstain from fornication. 4 That each one of you should know how to get possession of his own vessel in sanctification and honor. 5 not in covetous sexual appetite such as also those nations have which do not know God 6 that no one go to the point of harming and encroach upon the rights of his brother in this matter, because Jehovah is one who exacts punishment for all these things, just as we told you beforehand and also gave you a thorough witness. So, then, the person that shows disregard is disregarding, not man, but God. So we would not have premarital sex, nor sex with a married person, nor rape. Hebrews 13: 4 Let the marriage bed be honorable among all, Homosexual definately not! Secular music, depends on what type not heavy metal refer back to Romans 12:1 To be a Christian and sin also no, James 1; 14 But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire, 15 Then the desire when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn, sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death. So no we would not willfully sin.

There are many people out there who have a problem accepting that you don't have to believe everything that a religion preaches in order to be that religion. If you want to be a christian, be a christian. If some parts of christianity don't work for you, then omit them. Religion should be about what you yourself get out of it, and not what other people tell you you should get out of it.
The people who are asking those questions are probably worried that what they are doing is making them "not a good christian". It's unfortunate that they feel so unaccepted, but there isn't all that much you can do about it other than to let them know that it's OK for them to be those things.

Do not confuse sinning, and repenting of that sin (repent means to turn away)....which is what a born again Christian should be doing....and performing each of the sins you listed, not caring about them, and thinking that God will not notice.
There is a difference between sinning and repentance, and sinning and not caring and indulging in sin, unrepentant. The first is forgiveable. The second is not a characteristic of a Christian.

Your definition of "Christian" I guess, means to be a Child of GOD (saved).
Mine isn't. Christian to me means--a Child of GOD that is Walking in Holiness.
If you go by my definition of "Christian" (Christ-Like) then you will have to change all of your "Yes's" to "No's"---or you won't be Christian (Walking in Holiness) very long and will fall back to just Child of GOD status.
Ditto...............
The Way that leads to LIFE is narrow.

I think it's because most christian haven't ever opened their bibles and read. Also I think a lot of people are just really insecure about their salvation these days.

Because many people don't realize that we indeed make decisions and not everything is set in stone or based around a book made millions of years ago, or everything one person says doesn't mean it is right
