I think i am skinny...how do i gain weight or something...i dont feel confidence in clothes because i feel skinny...i need help!

People acually tell me that i am skinny... Someone even thought i weighted about 70!!! that made me fell REALLY thin!

I'm Hispanic too. We're naturally short. :) I'm 5 foot and a little older than you. My weight's the exact same as you, too. We've got a lot in common.

Don't worry. Do you eat healthy? Excersise? As long as you're healthy, it's fine. Some are just naturally lean. Just eat right and excerise. Trust me, don't worry much about your weight. God made all of us special and unique; we're all unique in our own ways.

Seriously, just eat right and make sure you excerise and you should be fine. (although I feel kinda the same, especially with my arms or legs. :( oh well)

But don't try and eat extra or anything. Just eat healthy. Excerise. Be happy.

You're still young, and at 13 you have a much higher metabolism than you will as you get older. I was the same way. Once I got past puberty I started gaining weight in my hips and bust, but not much in my waist so people still tell me I'm thin.

Enjoy it for now and show off your figure. But don't think that sitting on the couch eating yodels will help...I mean it will put some weight on, but it won't be a healthy weight. Also make sure you are having the proper amount of calories for your size and age. If you're having less than what's recommended it's going to keep you on the slim side.But if you have the recommended you should be able to get up to an average weight. But for your height and age... 86 lbs is below average for you, but it looks about 10%, so you're still healthy.

Girl, i know exactly how you feel. Even up to my mom and sisters taunt me about it.

I am 5'11" and 130 lbs.

When i go to the stores, people tell me to eat so i can buy something that will actually fit me.

It hurts to look at yourself in the mirror and see bones. At least your not as tall as i am because thats just another problem.

All i can advise you to do is excercise and eat.

Here i cant even go to the gym, because ppl just have this mentality that the gym is for fat ppl. If i go, they will make fun of me, and say i should be gaining weight, not excersising. Yea, ppl here are that ignorant and stupid.

It is gonna take a while for u to put on that weight though, and to me, it is harder for a skinny person to put on weight than it is for a fat person to lose it.

the internet is a poor resource for this cuz everyone is just caught up with losing weight and being skinny.

It is hard, but try to accept urself the way u r. Find clothes that suit u, thats hard too.

Chances are, u r gonna be like that for quite a while, so instead of moping around and trying to change urself, which isnt happening, try to feel comfortable in ur own skin in the mean time.

If anyone calls u skinny, call them fat. Especially if they ARE fat.

Tell them at least you dont have a big pot belly, or all those love handles spilling all over the place, or that ur not a blubber factory.

This may seem rude, but its just as insulting to tell a skinny person that they're skinny, as it is to point and stare and tell a fat person they're fat.

Unfortunately, some ppl just dont seem to understand that.

you are making me feel fat I'm your age a inch shorter but i weigh like 20 more pounds than you . get over it really be comfortable . You are always feel to fat or too skinny . you've probably been like this most of your life skinny right? your perfectly healthy so thats that accept your self if you try to eat like 300 calories or something crazy like that to gain more weight you are going to start thinking you fat and then you come back here and ask about loosing weight . it is all just a viscous cycle. Girls are to hard on your self if you are healthy that is all that really matters I'm sure you look fabulous in your clothes everything is size zero now it's practically the norm . So embrace it . Ill bet you there are at least 10 girls you know that are envious of you . because they are stuck is this damn trap . If you don't become happy with yourself now you will never be able to be happy with yourself . personally I'm envious of you.

Im 14 5'4 and weigh 115
Your so not that skinny
If you have muscles then your skinny cause muscle weighs more than fat
The only reason i gained that weight was because of cheerleading
And hun your only 13 you will gain weight

You might just want to tone up your body a bit you know get some muscle on your bones. This will help you fill out your clothes better and keep you healthy and in shape. Also you will look a lot better in a swimsuit if you have muscle. Just don't tone up too much and maybe add a little more carbs (potato,breads) to your diet.

you are TOO skinny.
you have a high metabolism therefore no matter how much you eat you burn it off. just like they make those bars and slim fast and stuff for people to lose weight they make them to gain weight also. if you are really concerned talk to your doctor and he will help you more.
i am glad that you notice that you are too skinny instead of thinking you are fine. that means that you are healthy(mind) -meaning you see a problem with being that skinny unlike people who want to be annorexic or bulimic.

a)to gain weight , you should eat more ...but eat healthy like eat some bread/toast but eat whole grain this will make you gain some weight but not too much since its healthy food
b)skinny is actually a good thing..feel confident in your clothese, you are who you are...but too skinny is not good..I think you are sine , you just need to exercise more and eat more...do some workout here are some ideas:

c)more.....do some running walking more and eat a little more then you usually do (for ex:dinneris usually one bowl of rice , now 1 and a half bowl of rice)

whoa holl... that was pretty mean! just to let you know, I would kill to have your body! even though people are always saying how skinny I am ( they always say im anerexic) but thats not the point. the point is, they are just jealous that you have a perfect body (you should get a belly button ring because thats totally sexy and only skinny girls like u & me can pull it off) and say that so you will gain weight and they won't feel threatened by your hottness anymore.

your fine your only 13 years old, I'm 21 5'4 and 103 lbs now if you are eating well i see no problem you still have to grow your just starting trust me, now one way i gained wait was my swimming its muscular mass, no i know that its a pain not finding clothes you size and all it can be quite a nightmare but don't stress about it, we are fine and its because of our metabolism, either way don't worry just eat healthy and exercise and do not over do anything, take care
